In a pretty busy period of my life, a package of three matches at a glance.
- Costa Rica
Disappointing. Lost an ASG-lilke match 148-137 with three errors at once: first, I expected the usual "look inside", and was surprised by shift to R/G basically unused by opponent's coach; luckily, rythm compensated focus; second, forced 2-3 zone instead of my beloved M2M thinking "why not 2-3" - got the answer. Third, I changed many times between motion and R&G and probably motion would have been better, although this cannot be proven
- Ecuador
Definitely better. Focus was well set and made the difference. R&G brought a 1/20 3p but compensated the poor circulation we have without Gulch. Mazibuko dominated RB. An impressive ID backed by good OD pushed opponents attack to bad percentage (33/90). Themba Sebe was the top scorer, but actual shock was given by good old Jabulani Mtolo, playing only 6 minutes but grabbing 2 key RBs and defending very well while match looked like slipping away. Hard to understand the close score if you look at evaluations and MRs, but it was finally a W.
- Mexico
#63 in the world, but with more competitive roster (see Arellano for instance
(13519152)). It's last match at home before travelling to Macau to face my Xing Ruipeng. We have only 2W, missing Costa Rica to top the three of two seasons ago. Don't miss this match, our guys need you!
