Instead paying few millions I may buy some young talent and train him to this level. We'll see what draftees will come up after this season.

Sharpling still the best guard in the English NT (at least, for Princeton).
Next season, I'm going to try and get him the EBBL MVP award.

And he seemed to get better the longer he played. Obviously a stroke of genius playing him for all 48 minutes. I'm actually not quite sure why that happened; I'll have to wait until I can set another lineup. What I suspect is I'd set him as backup, promoted him once I changed to princeton, and then not put Esposto into the backup slot.

Looks like Finland and Lithuania could well be the finalists in the Euros. By my reckoning that means we can call ourselves the third best team in Europe. :p

I think you might actively have to find a home for Palit and broker a deal with someone. He's a better NT player, where bang for your buck is irrelevant, than he is a club player needing to fit into a salary structure. I would've suggested Los Mikitos as his most likely destination but that would mean Mikramus moving Gazza for a worse player (at club level) and he's unlikely to recoup that much money for Gazza either so I don't see why he would do it.
I think around a mil is a fair price for a quality 31 year old guy who costs around 155k a week net after merchandising. Teams committed to playing mostly inside offences might be interested, although his IS 3 will not help him sell.

Look, we all know Palit is a nice player and a good role player for the NT. But he's not a great franchise player.

And no, I'm not trying to drive the price down for myself (I don't want Palit) or buy Gazza off Mikramus, I can't afford Gazza's salary without replacing Simpson for a cheaper model, which I'm not looking to do.

Arrows contacted me about Palit when he put him on sale. Regarding his price, I agreed with what I was told privately. I don't think I can say more than that.

If someone would like him, but doesn't want to pay that price, as always they are free to contact Arrows, he's a nice guy and I'm sure he won't be insulted by a negotiation. Alternatively they can contact me, and I'll speak to Arrows. Though I'd have thought a direct approach would be better. Of course I'm very interested in the situation. Palit is an important player.

A lot changes for some teams over the weekend, and the situation next week could be different for a lot of teams.

Just in case anyone's noticed, I'm going through the NT squad and dismissing all EBBL based players. Now that I'm also in the EBBL I won't be able to help my opponents by giving them the cash associated with having players on the NT. Though obviously I'll be playing all my English players.

D2 players will obviously still be available for the NT.

Fancy giving a couple of my players a go then Gully?

I've got a guy who's really REALLY good at high fives, making cups of tea and just generally being hype man.

What I think I might do is just add the first 12 players who I'm asked to add. Obviously mine were in first, then yours. So, that leaves about 8 spots for anyone else. Probably best they be over 21 just so it looks a bit like a NT.
