hey sad to see you say that you are hanging up your boots. =(
thats three great aussie BB managers now that have followed in those foot steps... namely mllama, whitebeard and now you.
although mllama has made a resurgent of late.

gone are those big dynasties in the ABBL... now teams are finding harder and harder to win back to back championships.

Just because great Managers like Whitebeard, Dire & Mllama have dropped back to Div 2, doesnt automatically mean that they are hanging up their boots.

Mllama and Bryce will most likely bounce back to the ABBL this season and I hope after taking a bit of a breather that maybe one day soon Whitebeard and Dire will also return

Sometimes you have to take a step back to take 2 steps forward and with the introduction of the over extension tax I believe that there is a huge advantage to teams who train up players, and by luck I was already well down this track

Dire is virtually a neighbour of mine in real life as from memory he lives in Berwick where as I live in Narre Warren

We probably know each other in real life without even realising our common background in Buzzerbeater

I salute the Sir Dire who I consider to be an absolute legend of the game.

If through the advantage that the Over extension tax has given my team, I was lucky enough to win a few ABBL Championships or Tournament Cups, I would never ever compare myself to the likes of Dire, Whitebeard, Mllama or Bryce who I consider to be "greats of the game"

Neither would we.

No I am joking Sid, you have timed your run to perfection. Good luck to both finalists.

I am also very sad to see Dire go. I consider him to be one of the elite managers of all time along with mllama, Whitebeard, C-Cat and Bryce. Koop nabbing another cup is also starting to get there.

Ouch, Ive just worked out the salaries of my players for next season.

Got to take Marchini out of my training program in a real hurry and fingers crossed he doesnt pop in JS or IS this week.

Been running calculations on the other laptop and its scary what rebounding and JR can do to a players salary or in the case of Marchini what an extra pop in JS or IS would do.

Williams could be utterly awesome for 160K a week and ironically if you arranged his other skills in a certain way, in theory could push his IS to the limit without adding a cent to his salary

Riviera who in the past has always had an estimate of 20 odd K above his salary, will drop in salary.

Actually tempted to train stamina, free throws or game shape this week just to keep the salaries down for next season

Well sublevels are included in salary calculations so 1 week wouldn't make that much difference.

except if that one week of training changes their best position and therefore changes how their salary update is done

Looks like ive been struck down with the injury curse.

Ive lost through injury my 2nd quality player in 3 days

First Williams and now Camelo, 2 players who regularly rank 18s in games.

Quickly starting to lose a little bit of confidence.

I will be in lots of trouble if Haydock or Marchini foul out or get injured

All of a sudden Im getting a really strong desire to train game shape

If anyone is wondering why the votes for the MVP havent come through yet, its because the game engine is too busy injuring all my players

Williams despite having the 10th highest salary was my starting SF and has ranked 17.5, 19.5 and 18 in finals games so far.

Have changed training tactics to Game Shape.

Ott who is my 3rd best tall only got 26 mins court time for the week due to an "in game injury" in last nights scrimmage
