I don't think the app will be available for the general public soon. From what I understood, the app will be available as a beta release only for all current BB players (not only supporters) from july 25th on. Which makes sense, since there are still some very important stuff that are missing in the app. For the app be attractive to new users it might be complete.

The application looks very good, it moves very quickly, the arrangement of the options is intuitive.
Of course, a lot of work is still needed and many options are missing to fully replace the page on the phone.
