Yoda and Mllama have at times expressed despair at the lack of quality Aussie trainees up for sale and how expensive they are.

Without knowing the skills its hard to judge but on face value Northcote Slammers may have got one of the best buys of the season

Bernie Perman (27605667)

18yo Australian, 196 cm tall (just about perfect for a small forward) and with MVP potential and a salary of $4031 per week

A mere $400 K

Where were you Yoda and or what was wrong with Perman?

can i tempt you with either issak or cunming good sir?

Well ofcourse both of those 2 players might be of interest, but again I live with the shame of crushing Beechys sole and would be more content to let someone else start any "potential buying up war"

I just come across your press release concerning your triumph in last years tournament which I might add was one hell of a grand achievement

The rest of the competition was...how would you say...a joke. URM casually kicked aside Hopelessly Addicted

Just a reminder I was in China at the time and had trouble accessing the players transfer market at that particular time

Lucky for you I guess

it could well have been you last season ... luck most def played some part in me winning the cup last season, aint gonna be many chances to win the cup so any chance i get i'll gladly take, now that WB has crushed my dreams of back to back cup wins, its time to sell up once i'm safe and next season it will be time to tank and drop back into oblivion

You deserved the success, your team was really strong and you showed strength in character to have a plan of short term glory and to stick to that plan.

I do not begrudge you that trophy.

Shame Im going to be training my trainees in IS and ID next season.

Im sure that those 2 players will create a lot of interest should they come on the transfer market

saw bernie on transfer market. hard to gauge without knowing his initial stats, but he didnt look trained 'properly' as such. I wasnt really looking that hard, cause im not looking for that type of player... lets just say i didnt feel the need to altert my fellow platapie federation members that he was availbe and awesome.
been sold initially by his draftee and now by Cove Convicts. if i remember correctly, he wasnt SF potential at all, in terms of his IS/ID.

but still, only 18, plenty of time and as you say, MVP potential. long term prospect definately.

I think I have unusual roster stability although I am sure there are others with more stability.

Season
10 Oliver and Vallo since the first week I started the game
16 Kumar and Barton first week of the season
18 Lawrance and Sperbert my return for my tanking ABBL season

So there is six of my 10 rotation players that have been with the club a while and are in at least their 5th season with the Seagulls but the other four are quite new. My big men were very old and all had to be replaced and Dexter was my new trainee just bought last season.

so a few interestin purcahes recently... arena expansions... trainee's being bought up... nice pickup by Crockers, i saw his purchase on the transfer market - not a bad buy.

I think ive realised that my 'timing' with my trainee's is out by 1 season. I should have actually been investing in THIS seasons draft to get something good. otherwise it starts making it harder to train. Are Hippo's and Ranga's drafting this year? How's it looking so far?

geez Sid i reckon you have enough evidence to file a '4th quater game engine bias' complaint to BB - 41 points in last quarter to snatch victory - again.

i watched the second quarter and thought 'nup all over'. thought my poor game shape was gonna cost me. very bizarre last quarter by my guys again.

still.. makes it interesting for the run up the finals aye!

Well done a good victory to yourselves.

Must admit I thought I had a pretty good lead early on and like yourself I didnt see that last quarter coming.

Tough draw for myself playing your team then Avalon Jets, Geelong Vipers and then West Indies in successive games, but a well deserved win to yourself with possibly the extra enthusiam you used contributing to the victory
