You forgot to mention the opponents.

You got Corio Bay Giants 9-11 and Fashion Victims 3-7.

Whilst Akuma has Northcote Slammers and Hadders Heros who are both on 14-6 records.

Very big discrepancies, something that HCA might not even overcome.

Akuma has gone and recruited former HA player Mariusz Sojka (11029153)

HA is as yet undecided as to its intentions for this upcoming finals series.

Cash up and prepare for next season and allow the trainees to continue training in the comfort of div 2

or

buy up for promotion

I may not make the final decision until after Tuesday nights game

Well I did despise the thought of Team Akuma having an easy path to promotion and I have loved the verbal jousts with him.

Deep down I do have some empathy and admiration for his desire to taking some aging Aussies back to the big time and I also know that my 3 trainees are better off in div 2 than what they would be in the ABBL.

Might sneak a look on the transfer market tomorrow, but at this stage Im leaning towards staying in Div 2 with a "shallow squad, forgoing the cup (chasing flags instead) , continuing training and having money in the bank for another major Aussie acquisition at some stage during the season should the right player become available.

Team Akuma like the Windies before him, has wanted the promotion more than me.

Should however Duffill get his annual injury on Tuesday and or should Team Akuma lose his point differential lead then I certainly could change tact again.

Actually I believe you Sid. I have been super-indecisive this season as well. I have a great cost effective team that can win lots of games and has absolutely no chance to bring home a championship. I had four trainees (obviously one too many for most of the season) which cost me the cup and league wins. I just haven't been able to decide what to do. I have trained my superstar guards to what was elite level in the ABBL only to find after six seasons of training that the goalposts have changed and elite isn't what it used to be.

Thanks mate

ABBL apart from the cash doesnt mean a lot to me at this stage because my team just wouldnt be competitive and its something Ive done before and opted to drop out of.

There is the rational/logical side of me that knows that div 2 is the right place to be for my trainees and then there is this "competitive/beastly side of me which has appeared a few times this season.

My Logical side knows that beating Team Akuma and stopping Duffill and Smeltz going back to the ABBL would be like "killing Bambi" and would therefore be wrong to do, yet the beastly side of me enjoys the thought of it

Lol the bloke who bought Luster went bankrupt, apparently Luster is cursed. Wouldnt be surprised if some noob bids one million on him.

Makes sense as to why someone would bid on a 200K plus player with a 2 week injury at this time of year. (they wanted to go bankrupt)

Will there be a residual "luster" effect on Team Akuma?

One of the other reasons I can be a bit indecisive is that I also try to stick to the philosophy that if the market is up I sell but if it is down I buy.

Yeah it's going to be very tough to stay ahead in PD given that Hadders and Northcote and Mangaloids are fighting for second and third spot. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them normal me. I am going to have to give them an absolute spanking to stay ahead of HA (which is just about impossible) since he's playing against teams that are essentially tanking.

I'm not giving up though, doing everything I can to keep the dream alive!
