Is anyone else sick of these super teams, or is it just me?
Nash is a great pick up for the Lakers, but as a basketball fan I just hate it. I would loved to have seen him go to a smaller market team and made them interesting to watch. Going home to Canada and seeing him play for Toronto would've been cool. Even going back to the Mavs would've been interesting, but ending up at the Lakers just seems like it's 'same old, same old' every year, just with different players.
Same with Ray Allen going to the Heat, as a basketball fan it's the least interesting of all of the possibilities. Seeing him play in Minnosota or Memphis would've been fun. Going to the Heat is just boring. I hope when Howard leaves he doesn't end up at the Lakers as well - that would surely be the worst move from a fan point of view, as we'll be subjected to 5+ years of Lakers v Heat and not much else.
Jason Terry to Boston is interesting. Joe Johnson to the Nets is interesting. (I'd be happy to see Howard end up there.) Anthony and Stoudemire at the Knicks is interesting (whether they play well together is another story).
The articles I'm reading seem to indicate the Hornets and Blazers are going to match the offers for Gordon and Batum, so I guess we'll wait and see what happens there.
