Potentially your plan is worth around 6 mill.

3 to 4 mill could be saved by dogging it

another 1 to 2 mill from training up some young players and selling them

and for argument sake we'll say the top draft pick in the ABBL is worth a mill.

Ive left it too late, but I have now just boosted my scouting and slashed my staff and in a couple of weeks will sell off a couple of players to take my players salaries back down to the base.

6 mill would certainly give your team enough of a boost to be able to bounce back up again

In retrospect I wish Id done that, instead I'll be struggling to be competitive back in div 2 next season, but given that I was only a couple of hours away from becoming bankrupt at the end of last season I shouldnt complain too much

I think the aim needs to be to develop a team that is good enough to promote and then stay up. That is what Whitebeard and MonkeyBiz did. They had basically the team they needed when they were promoted. Well rounded and cost eficient players. Just add one or two more with the promotion money and playoff windfall and there they are with an ABBL level team.

I think it would be possible to tank and relegate/spend massively and promote on a two-three season rotation forever. Maybe that is a god idea it that is all you aspire to. If you want to make the ABBL and stay then perhaps you need a diferent model.

I got secrewd this week. Lazio@ forget to set his lineup. It happens. But everyone else recently got to flog him by 75 and I get just +25 as well as it wrecked my minutes for my training, I had set both PG and SG for 48+ as it looked like an easy game. Doh! Someone is missing out on training this week!

Yeah I'll probably sell Pedrosa (which is half the worth of my roster) and train up another 3 youngsters.

Not out of the question that my team might be relegated out of div 2 next season down to div 3

There is no doubting that I really did push my way into the ABBL last season, arguably against teams that were more balanced and better managed

Nope things are very quiet here. Beechy has fairly everyone except the Smeltztroopers intimidated. He keeps on beating teams and not even trying or even running his best lineup. All that and he has a very very cheap lineup. It is incredible I don't know how he does it. I'm want to CT him next time just so I can say I have beaten the champion, but I probably wont.

its no longer a cheap cheap roster, its closing in on 400k, but he sneaks under the radar with no 150k monster on his team making an appearance of a cheap roster. wat he has though is quality @ all positions ...

What do you mean Yoda can't catch a break?! I can't even beat him with his star C out, his SG and he played TIE to my normal... Really regret not playing TIE against Yoda and Beechy right about now!

Tough luck on the injuries though Yoda, least you still beat me and quite easily at that. ;-)

Yoda is a bit stiff copping two key injuries but at least they are now and not as he heads in to finals.

Meanwhile I'm just about ready to scratch finals off of my "to do" list and start thinking about holding 5th to avoid a relegation game... Confidence is pretty low atm. :-/

Yes it hasn't been a good series for injuries. My PG is back and up to average GS, one more week and I may be able to play him. My C is out for at east another week and then will need at least a week to get back into shape. Now my SF and actually most effective player Rober is out two weeks. So in effect three of my best starting five are out of action. I keep on wanting to sell a player off but with three starters out of action I need to keep my bench, good thing they are of reasonable quality.

Yes it was nice to win TIE vs normal and against such a respected opponent but I fear it may be a phyyric victory. Kent and Jared should be back in fine shape for the playoffs, Rober may not be.

Anyone dug up some nice draftees?

Also, is draft position on ladder placing or simply win loss?
