I'm just glad 'the ROC' waited until after our game. Could be very interesting if he plays his cards right, manages GS and game choice, he could certainly have a chance in the cup and stay up. It's certainly a gamble but I'm pretty sure you dont win in this game without taking a gamble, i've certainly played it safe for far too long.

Yay. First wozz, then Steve, now the 1.1m $ version of Rocket Science. Methinks my luck is running out this time

jfarb - you worry too much! I used the offsite to model the game, and against EDH for my next game, I have roughly a 10% chance of winning even with my overpriced line-up.

I hope to stay in the cup, which is the silver lining to my one and only season in the NBBA... but it took a $1m payroll to barely beat LMA w/o his best player earlier this season, and you have 2 US NT guards in terrific game shape, so I know I am the underdog.

I really hope I can keep up with you to make our cup game an interesting one.

Here's to no injuries on either side! If my center gets injured after 1 min of play again, I will know the game engine has something personal against me.

good luck!

Obviously if a player is good enough for LMA to deem him worthy of a bid, he's a tres-1337 player that's worth $13.37M

jfarb:

Congrats. The better team won. :)

It has a great ride for me - I never expected to get to the NBBA and final-16 in the cup so quickly. I was thinking I would have to go between II and III a couple of times before getting a shot to participate in this much fun.

That last cup game was a nice way to end the run over 10 seasons.

And now, it's time to finally dismantle the entire team.

Thanks rocket. I am sad that you couldn't survive in the Great 8, I'm sure if you had landed in the Big 8 it might have ended differently. I hope you will not quit BB entirely, you could make it back I'm sure. Good luck next season!

I'm surprised I didn't draw shikago or Coco for the next round, I might as well play the entire G8 in the cup haha. Got KDB tho couldve been worse, SM is my nightmare matchup.

(Borrowing terms from college basketball)
If we both win our "sweet 8" matchups, it's still possible we meet in the "elite 4". I've got 9 40-year-olds chomping at the bit, as the kids say. May even allow one to dress up in his basketball costume for it.
Didn't look at my next cup opponent yet, but doubt I'll be able to win by almost 50 w/ less effort this time. Though that would be nice, lol.
