It was clear that Greece will go outside. So I went with a 3-2 line up. OD player at 1-3 and ID/SB bigs on 4 and 5. This left me with RnG AS an offense. Bitte even with more effort it was not enough to crack Greece. Every quarter was almost at the same level but as a sum, it was too much. Now we are two places behind the ko round. With our last home it is clear that the ko round is the main target.

It looks like we made a perfect landing... We surpassed Russia (lost against Italy), Australia (lost against Switzerland) and UAE (we surpassed their point difference by 2 pts). If Singapur gets a really high win, we should end up 31st or 32nd. So perfect for a game against one of the unbeaten powerhouses Serbia or Italy. Why should we wait until the finals if we can play them in the first round? So let's see what the final standing will be and how will be our next target.

So, the game against Czech Republic was lost by a huge margin. We went with enthusiasm 7 into the game. Our opponent had almost the double amount plus home court advantage. They played half of their games LI so, I risked it and they contered with Motion. On the other side it was clear that they will go for a "fast" GDP and I tried to go around and play Standard.

Looking back, the loss against Indonesia was the neckbreaker. This home loss was clearly planned as a victory. After that game I had to invest more enthusiasm against Slovenia and Greece. Even a CT was needed to maintain a good point difference and to reach the KO round.

On Monday we will play against Belgium. During the next weeks we will play several teams and try to go up in the WR again.

Some words about the current team. Even if we lost, the team is currently really well trained (big thanks to all the managers) and has a wide range of talents. Our NT player pool has 20 players which could play and they are all different, so we are not bound to one or two tactics. I am convinced that the current team is one of the strongest, if not the strongest swedish team, in all these seasons. It's just frustrating to lose some games by a small margin and never really utilise the full potential of the guys...

Thanks. We are now at the point, which I aimed for six seasons ago. We have a young and (almost) finished team.
Säfen, Birgersson, Westerlund, Lagerhall and Danielsson are capped and have still a long time until their first downs.
Smol had 12! ups this season and closed almost the gap to Säfen. Smol has now the highest total skill points in Sweden! His manager made some unbeliveable improvements. Really great work.
Gustavsson made a great leap forward. But you know it better than I do ;)
We have young specialists like Dehllund, Hammarstrand and Lövlind, which give us a the needed depth in some tactics.
Balanced players like Sunesson, Stjärnland, Johansson, Svensson and Tjäderborg have so low salaries, but so freaking high skills compaired to it.
And there is another group which isn't even in the NT. The 22-24 y/o guys. Höstner, Martinsson, Ahlhult, Tunglund, Molen and some more. Guys who played last season in the U21 are coming forward already. 18 spots on the NT aren't enough anymore! That's what happend during the last couple of seasons. There is so much talent now

Players with 100 tsp was a luxury back then.

We have now around 30 players with 100+ TSP.

I mean, just the fact that we have multiple guys closing in on 95 TSP at the end of their U21 careers every season is a good indication that we're definitely getting better!

Yes. The last seasons from the U21 were strong and the teams were competive. It's a good sign for both teams.
