Anybody else has realised that at the end of the regular phase, just before de PO, the improvements in GS doesn't works as usually. I think there's a hidden factor and that could be the fatigue acumulated during all season till then, and affects, mainly, players with a lot of minutes played.

I have done no statistics about that, but i will recover the data from previous seasons, and see what it shows.

I don't know if this is true. Most of my players have never had too much stamina, and usually stay at good GS with 70-80 minutes.

I was intrigued to read this thread only to be pissed at you for posting this! lol

I had a guy get 69 minutes and drop from 9 to 8. I had a guy drop from 9 to 7 after playing 85 minutes and a couple other guys drop from 9 to 8 with between 55-70 minutes. Yes I understand the guy with 85 minutes is too much, however to have a massage doc and train GS I never expected a 2 level drop. So I am the one with the legitimate complaint....yours seemed to be a normal update.

I had a guy get 69 minutes and drop from 9 to 8. I had a guy drop from 9 to 7 after playing 85 minutes

I had a guy with 59-60 minutes fall to 7 (respectable).... So after keeping him at 55-65 minutes all season, right in time for the playoffs he ends up with the same game shape as a guy that played only 22 minutes. outstanding!

oh & my best player got 69 minutes only to have his DMI drop by *over* half. & that's with a massage dr. too, if that even matters. (4 of my starters got screwed actually).

but... to make up for that I had a 41 year old coming off a skill decrease have his DMI go up by almost 10%! Without a pop in game shape either!
And oddly a 45 year old pop in game shape, but no DMI increase. (yes i know his game shape was so low that it can randomly pop at this point in the season)

There are several factors at work. First, the range of minutes depends on more than just one week. Secondly, the GS doesn't automatically go up or down. Depending on how many minutes a guy plays and how many he has played in the preceding x number of differently weighted weeks, the final GS could be any of several numbers.

As for training GS, where you really see its positive effect is when you train it for two or three consecutive weeks.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

But I've never played my starting center over 65 minutes any week this season... with 59 minutes last week how can his game shape only be respectable? No matter what other weeks are weighed, it shouldn't be that low?

Yet I frequently had rookies play 0 minutes half the season, then after a few weeks of 45-48 minutes often have them at proficient game shape?
