i disagree here. We're talking about a site that has got 50k users ( it's more that that, but let's make it easy using rounded numbers). Each team needs to draft 3 players, which takes up alot of time. That time should be multiplied by 4 (considering that each team has 12 players) for the salary update. Then, TV rights have to be calculated, you got the stat sheets that need to be updated ( and the newly released one demands alot of processing time, so updating that one will take even more time) and while all that is done, BB continues it's usual chores.
You're welcome to disagree... but I disagree with your disagreement! Especially in light of this comment:
From BB Marin in this thread:
(http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/forum/read.aspx?thr...)It's taking a bit too long for my taste, but hopefully, it will be over soon.
Additionally, a rather famous football managerial game with significantly large numbers manages to do it very smoothly.
The game is ever expanding, adding new things, which adds to the workload off the servers. So it's only normal that the offseason processing gets longer each time. Last season, it was done just prior to the second game of the season if i recall correctly. So considering all the new things that were added, with the ever growing community it's only natural that things take longer. For those who dare say: buy better servers, better servers mean that you need to pay more to have em, and the money has to come from somewhere...
Mmmm... 'k. What "new things" are added, beyond a few additions to the stats page? Honestly curious.
Best thing to do is just to be patient, and let the BB's work on solving the problem by themselves. Giving comments about how BB ain't working good enough, won't make things solve faster.
Patience is a virtue after all...
This is true. However, when things aren't working correctly, it's not necessarily a bad thing to state "things aren't working as they should", and ask legitimate questions. Perhaps there's a bug, perhaps it's a localized issue. Silence won't solve those things at all.
