Haha, yeah an AFL sim is always going to be daunting just due to the sheer number of positions.

Most of the positions will be pretty similar to train though I'd imagine. There would only be a few categories of player you'd need - midfielder, key position forward, key position back, small forward, small back, and ruckman. Looks like you can train 6 players a week, so shouldn't be too difficult.

hahah try bidding on some staff members... it'll always tell you that you have been outbid or bid is not high enough even though no has bidded on that staff yet.

seems very buggy... but the game is only 2 weeks old.

OK I'm totally when it comes to positions in the AFL.

Midfield Specialist (training bonus to Midfield and On-ball players AND in-game skill bonus to all Midfield and On-ball players).

All Ruckwork will be done by RK, CHB & CHF so make sure the players named in these positions have some skills in this area.

Just wanted to know if the RK, CHB and CHF are part of the midfield???

No.
CHB is the Centre Half Back, part of the back line
CHF is Centre Half Forward, part of forward line.

That's interesting about the ruckwork being performed by them too.

I had a massive win today, with my boy Rusty nabbing a handy 60 possessions and a couple goals. :)

I think the game classes midfielders as the Centre (CE) and the two wingers (LW and RW)

On ball players are the Ruckman (RK) Ruck Rover (RR) and Rover (RO).

Also had a pretty handy 110 point win. My Full Forward managed a handy 40 possession, 35 marks/spoils and kicked 6 goals 9. If only he was a touch more accurate...

I dont know where to read possessions but I had a player get 30 disposals, 5 goals and 13 behinds. Is that a better performance than your 60 possessions and 2 goals? =P hehehehe

In real life, that player would probably be universally bagged by the media for wasting his opportunities in front of goal

I'd say no.
60 possessions 5 tackles 3 goals, 2 behinds

also had another player score
34 possessions 9 tackles, 6 goals 11 behinds. :P
Team won 167 - 36 :P
