I love that you didnt agree completely. This will make it interesting when we reflect back on the games at least.

Looking at your take on the Tsunami v Ballers game I have to say you have a point BUT it all rests on whether or not Ballers play the correct tactics and TIE or Normal and if Tsunami stick with FCP.

No offense taken on the Delpra v Hunterz prediction. Glad you got the nerve to put it right out there. :P
I will be playing TIE and I agree that starting the rookie is going to decrease our perimeter defensive efficiency but it was also one of his highest attributes to start with which is why I was so happy with the pick. He will give up some points but I dont think it will be enough that the mismatch at this position will be greater than the mismatches that fall in my favor at other positions.
Also, whether Delpra plays TIE or normal is going to be a factor.

The point differentials is really the hardest part to predict. So many factors to consider. Will be fun to see who is the better guesser :P

So bummed! The boys were thrilled about the bulletin board material . . . but we lost by 6 in a TIE vs normal AND on the road.

The good news is that my team is only 8 good / great players away from being able to compete for promotion in this league!

Correct Predictions for 12/4/12 games: CrazyGM7: 6 E.B.W: 4
Reflections as follow
Bastards @ Closet Men:
The Bastards only suited up 6 guys then got into foul trouble and at one point had to call upon a lucky fan to fill a position on the court; all of this in a televised game. Ouch. Harley Carroll of the Closet Men had a tremendous game almost bagging a triple double with 33pts, 9reb, 9 assists. Congrats to him and the team for an unexpected televised victory and for proving the pre-game predictions wrong. Well done.
Tsunami @ Ballers:
This was simply an amazing game. I had Tsunami taking this game and E.B.W predicted a win for the Ballers. It stayed close, so close in fact that it was tied moving into the 4th but the Tsunami managed to squeeze out a 10 point margin in the end.
Team Hate @ Shipbuilders:
Unbelievable performance by Team Hate’s Eigis Meleskevicius who racked up 41 points while shooting 7-10 from 3 point land. As we know though, it takes more than one player to win games and the rest of Team Hate shot only 25-73 granting no help to Meleskevicius resulting in a win for the Shipbuilders.
Storm @ Majestic 12:
What an exciting finish; this was a crowd pleaser. Wojciech Wojsznis scores the go ahead basket for Majestic 12 with 2 seconds left on the clock and the Storm fail on their potential buzzer beating game winning shot. All I can say is I’m shocked. Predictions had Storm winning by 15-20 points yet somehow despite being out rebounded 51 to 39 Majestic 12 comes out with the narrow victory.
Villains @ Miu & Co.:
This was expected. Both predictions had a 30+ point spread and the final result was a 24 point margin in favor of Miu & Co. When you’re out rebounded 64 to 45 and give the opposing team 13 extra shot attempts you’re bound to lose. What more can be said? This is definitely going to be a pattern for the Villains all season; are they aiming for the worst team record/point differential in league history?
Delpra @ Hunterz:
A back and forth game through the first half but in the final quarters the Hunterz slowly and methodically built a lead and held on for the victory. The Hunterz pulled down 25 more rebounds than Delpra and were sent to the foul line an astonishing 35 times yet the game remained close due in large part to the 3-point shooting and overall offensive production of Delpra’s Dimitar Chakúrov who amassed 42 points making him responsible for over half of the team’s offensive production. Additionally, Hunterz rookie guard Jairo Ramirez was shown that it won’t be so easy as a professional as he had shots swatted away and heavily contested leading to a 3-12 shooting performance and gave the ball away 5 times. On a positive note, he did manage to contribute on defensive nabbing the ball 3 times and grabbing 11 boards and would have walked away with a double-double in his first professional appearance if he hadn’t of missed a free throw late in the 4th quarter leaving him with only 9 points.
Krushers @ No Love:
Krushers guard Chung tried to personify Atlas tonight and carry the team on his back. He filled the points column of his stat sheet with 44 but only shot 36% from the field and ultimately couldn’t put his team on top. I predicted this kind of performance out of him but, as we know, one man can’t carry a team and, as it turns out, No Love didn’t need to stop Chung to gain a victory. I will say I’m surprised the game was as close as it was; valiant effort Chung.
Big Dawgs @ E.B.W:
Apparently fans don’t want to pay $14 to see one of the league’s top teams steamroll one of the league’s mediocre teams. Only 4631 fans showed up to watch the game play out precisely as I predicted, down to the exact point differential. Big Dawgs will learn from this and grow and be dominant in seasons to come while E.B.W lays this type of punishment down week after week on their way to promotion contention in the post season.

This week's game against the Hunterz TIE, short handed team has been eye opening for Delpra. A lot of adjustments will have to be made if Delpra is going to put up a better fight against their rivals. Loving the predictions, a +1 for everyone.

Keep your sights on my team, I expect to improve my team. The first few games are experimental as I have new pieces to fit into the team. If this week is any indication, no one is really safe from an upset (congrats), and I will hold on to that hope for the playoffs.
