On the subject of Utopia, since we're all anointing in advance the first champion of Utopia as the best ever BB manager, if his team immediately blows up because he commited everything in a speedy charge for the top, knowing he'd never win another championship once Utopia reaches maturity, will he still be the best ever?
My point was a counter to the opinion that someone in the early days cannot be considered the best manager because 'it was easier', 'less competitive', you name it. My take is that the early days were similar to Utopia in a way and calling that 'easier' is just ludicrous.
If the first manager to win the Utopia D1 title blows the team up after his 4th season, that would be exactly the same as those managers who have blown up a team after going deep in the B3 tournament, except that even getting in D1 in Utopia will be in itself an accomplishment which less than 2% of the managers in Utopia will achieve. In order to get there, the winner will have had to go through 3 promotions and I'm highly doubtful a manager who will have managed such a great exercise between payroll and arena expansion for 3 seasons will go bust after the 4th: it would be like doing the opposite to what he's done in the previous 3 seasons. We'll see.
In any case everyone has different criteria. We should just have a poll with the names and the achievements listed.
