Excepting, of course, that the team rank is pretty universally regarded as crap...

Maybe an average of the teams BBstats for the season instead of World/Country rank?

Except that it is better than the fan survey at taking into account the strength of the actual team on the court.

So then, maybe, instead of the a priori team ranking position (which is what I understood Saul to be suggesting), the "expectations" adjustment to the win/loss effect in the fan survey could be based off of the same formula that generates team rating points (or whatever goes on behind the scenes to create the team rankings)...

Wow. And a CT. Never would have expected that. IYF must have viewed that as a crucial game somehow cause it's not a Rival or TV game. I'm struggling to figure out justification for it.

Yeah what the hell? I'm surprised that he only won by 10 on a TIE vs CT at home. I thought our teams were closer than that, skill-wise - I strongly considered normaling his (anticipated) normal.

I'm also a bit confused. But very happy to see Dei Ex beat the Rebels, that's huge for me, great win DEI!

Maybe the tried and true "scroll wheel error"? I'm pretty sure Curry tried to claim that when he lost a road CT v TIE by over 30 a few seasons ago...

i've been on the short end of such an enthusiasm mismatch -- once bitten . . . painful memory.

i rationalized the decision by realizing during the All Star week, the enthusiasm should be back to 5 by next Saturday.

That's a good point, and he starts again with DC Dribble on the road, which isn't straightforward but is winnable even with low ENT.

Yeah, I get CTed a lot in the cup, but in a league game and on the road? That's too much to overcome. I should've normaled, but hindsight is 20/20 and all.
