slam ! has higher wages than that for one player and is doing well

aussie batlers did too

last season whitebeard had total salaries around 700k and this season so does hopelessly addicted

you are lucky if you can get away without having to have a monster roster

and maggots put their momey where their mouths are with a purchase of a bomb trainee 18 yo mvp

3/21/2011 - Maggots has just acquired Onur Rasit Düs for $ 1 800 000.

Aussie battlers had to their $300k+ player because it made his roster unsustainable and in half a season left him with limited funds. All to finish 4th. 2 $100k talks would not only been much cheaper, but would have had better results...

And maggots spending 1.8 mill on an 18 year old isn't necessarily the best option. For a large percentage of his revenue from his sales, he will be waiting another 3 seasons before that player will be of average ABBL starter standard. Meaning he will demote next season unless he sells the player at a profit or be right where he is now trying to top up toward the end of the season...

you are right, demotion would be certain but with a good plan and timing, staying in this league isn't impossible. If luck is on our side, we get weak div3 teams next season.

Yo! Yo! D for D best PF in D Aussie BB. D Name is Kye Duffill (10080211), averages nothing but pure amazing! Vote for Duffman!

I don't think there will be many weak teams promoting from div 3 anymore. With the logjam of teams who are almost div 2 ready (and of course the day traders) players starting in the next few seasons will start finding it difficult to establish themselves in div 3. Its not like it used to be when I won a div 3 title with my best player being a $19k sg. Last season I had to beat Quinn kings and their $250k worth of guards... Making demotion all the more damaging.

You are definitely right about d3 teams being much stronger. I will struggle to stay up next season with the way my economy has been over the past couple seasons. Not fun training SF's, so hopefully it's worth all the pain in the end.

great to see the tradition of every team tanking to da fat boy slim continures - totally lost count of how many free wins they have got this season now

but now it looks like almost every side in the gr8 is tanking cept cowboys and meators and those fighting to avoid relegation

and the knights are far from tanking - theyve got 1st spot sewn up and are going into get ready for playoffs mode

steves crocs seem to have left their run way too late taking down the top team is nice but how will they avoid 8th now and how will they afford Rob McNamara in d3?

Ha, I know, iwen's just focusing on training/gameshape at the moment. Was just kidding. But yes, it looks like almost all the teams in Great 8 are throwing it - kind of annoying, really.

Steve's Crocs are almost toast, needing to overhaul a -96 point differential in the last two games, as well as hoping that Northcote lose both of their games (one of which is against Steve's Crocs - so a close game there seals his fate). Meanwhile Aussie Battlers are in danger of dropping down into the relegation battle, as the Pwnage hit top gear with their new recruits.

On the Big 8 side, automatic relegation will be between Ratman and Razzle Dazzles - these guys play each other, so if Razzle wins that, the Rat is gone. If Rat wins it, Razzle has to win his last and hope Rat loses his to stay up.

It'll all be very interesting to see how this pans out...

Aussie battlers will not drop to a relegation match because maggots have gone on the tank. Maggots have the same amount of wins, but will have worse pd by then. And now with fat boy on the tank cowboy have got top spot while meateors will get a walkthrough to the semis...
