Yes, I got an offer from a guy who didn't win the bid and decided to sell off Palermo. I bought him for $3.2M as an 18 year old and he finally made the NT at 26. When I won at SB without him I decided he was expendable.

He was an expensive investment and I learned a lot about training from working on him.

1st week of interleague, some good matchups tonight. #1 Res @ #1 Mil, #2 Boom at #3 BMG.

Nothing like going from a 32 point quarter to start, down to an 8 point quarter. Looks like my game should be interesting.

if i had to guess you blank'd all but the PG and either have a defensive switch (pg on sf) or some kinda of zone. your defensive matchups are all over the place, and its working.

Yeah, guessed right, switch is PG for SF, hoping my trainee's OD wouldn't get shown up with a LI SF. We'll see how it works.

4 fouls at half-time isn't that promising... :)

yeah, wonder what happens if he fouls out. that could be worse for me if LCD responds by putting more of a true PG in.

Update: BMG's PF is 2 blocks away from tying the NBBA record for blocked shots. He's at 7 right now. He's blocking dunks, jumpers, everything. Please stay at 7.

Edit: He just blocked another jump-shot. 8.

Side note: Ive now had 3 times in the game I've "went up for a dunk in a crowd", missed the shot, had no foul called or blocked shot credited...is that weird? Or are my players just that bad at dunking?

Yeah i was kidding, but I agree with your basic point: these days the game is to fit the best possible combo of players in whatever weekly budget you have. Transfer prices are ridiculously low.

Yes....I kind of miss the days of build a team over time. I don't know...maybe that's still true in the lower levels.

i've said it a bunch of times in the past, but it's hilarious how many non-blocked, wide open dunks/layups are missed. I mean it would be one thing if that only applied lucky-fan types. But when even supposed elite inside scorers miss close to half their open layups/dunks some games....

though with "dunk in a crowd" there's a bunch of people around at least. (not wide open, so a little more plausible).
