sorry

what do you want? why didnt you make room for these 2 players and train their JR? Their OD is good enough for the EBBL and adding that little bit off JR wouldnt have been hard to do. But adding that much to JR would have really crancked up the salary. We have talked about this before. In order to be competitive at club level and to satisfy the NT, we need to find a balance to keep all satisfied. Dempsey and Stanway with better secondaries is the best we can aim for right now... If you can train better guards with higher JR and still be competitve please do so.

Stanway and Dempsey are way better than all the other guards we have and we need to start somewhere and if you read my message properly, you would have read that I said we need better than these 2 players because they lack secondaries.

if that is what you want to read and want to understand from my forum post, ok no problem.

I will rest my case and say no more. Good luck with the england U21 and perhaps NT in the future.

I had this discussion with a EBBL coach the other week. And he was stubborn. Try train OD or PS on a 200cm or bigger player. I tried to train Craig Thom this season on OD, trained him 1 position and trained like 10 weeks OD this season. Ooooh and I have a level 6 trained. He popped once! So I will change to 1 position big training soon, to make sure not to waist his talent.

No, you did not train Craig Thom 1 position for "like 10 weeks". No way an 18 yo would only pop once in 10 weeks 1 position training with a level 6 trainer.

Really don´t understand why you would say something like that. Being the NT-coach and probably quite influential in the forums.

I have a 24 yo 2.11 tall that popped every 3-4 weeks in OD. last pop this season took 5 weeks. But I have only a level 5 trainer. But in total this season he´s had 7 pops in outside skills.

training a tall players guard skills is hard if not close to impossible. Training atrocious passing to mediocre (and this is low for the NT) takes a season. One position. Training a guys handling and passing from atrocious to mediocre takes 2 seasons.

This is also totally wrong. Atrocious to mediocre = 4 pops. For 18 yo 1 position training you should not count on more than 9 weeks training. Probably less. And since you´d most definately´d get at least 1 pop in Handling from training Passing that many weeks, you definately wouldn´t need more than 6 7 weeks of handling training to also reach mediocre in handling.

I have a 2.08 tall 18 yo right know, that´s had 4 passing, 2 OD, 2 HA, 2 DR 1 JS unfortunately he did not have any pops last friday :(

And no, I´m not interested in taking over the English NT.

I don't agree they're way better and I reiterate I don't think you should be holding them up as examples of what NT guards look like. Lonbay, game shape aside, is possibly the only English NT guard who might play for another decent NT.

Under my watch Stanway and Dempsey trained OD and passing, for the record.

there i have to agree with you. lonbay is better than the other 2, but his GS was never higher than respectable from what i remember, I even contacted the coach twice about this.

First time I see his GS at strong, I hope the next NT coach will enjoy the player´s better GS...

Hey

Lachlan Adamson- his look great, but potential is to low, so he can't be in NT.
Cab Ingle- You can try but, I don't think so than he can be in NT.

for Cab Ingle you can try training him and then sell him :)

and pointless posting guys anyway that will never ever make it into the NT in the "NT players up for grabs" thread

if there are any managers that want to buy NT players they will see the NT flag on the players page, or to check if they have the potential to become an NT player they should check with the NT Manager !
