If we both win our "sweet 8" matchups, it's still possible we meet in the "elite 4". I've got 9 40-year-olds chomping at the bit, as the kids say. May even allow one to dress up in his basketball costume for it.
Didn't look at my next cup opponent yet, but doubt I'll be able to win by almost 50 w/ less effort this time. Though that would be nice, lol.

SM is my nightmare matchup.

thanks for the good luck. My plan is to sell of everyone to build a war-chest so I can have the option to play again. Then I will take a little sabbatical to decide - I like to try to see what life is without BB and test that feeling.

And yeah I hate the Transfer List right now. There are no bargains. I have to overpay low salaried players just to fit into my budget.

Just noticed the ridiculous ying-yanging between the conferences' PD. Only one team with negative PD in the G8, and only one team with positive PD in the B8.

In my defense I've full on tanked 6 games this season for a total of -390 PD. Those were maybe games I would have lost anyway with my A team, but those 6 games probably would have been about -60 PD instead of -390, which would've put me at +250 PD for the season. Maybe I need to rethink the importance of the cup, but the way my team is structured it would be difficult to afford the depth necessary to be competitive 3 games a week. Including the cup I am 8-3 against your precious G8 this season ;) with the 3 losses being games I intentionally tanked.

Reston would have positive PD if not for blowing up his team last week to save $ for next season.

After that I don't have much defense for the B8. I understand the frustration from G8 teams to see that 11-7 lands you in 6th place, while in the B8 11-7 put you in 1st place. Last season it sucked to see Rambo relegate. G8>>>>B8 right now, don't know if that will change in coming seasons.
