Did anyone follow the BBB tournament?
Seems like the GM's already reacted to the result of the finals

I've been reading BB-Marin's season post about the coming changes, and i've read 2 changes that i particularly applaud :

BuzzerBeater has decided to use mid-90s NBA for inspiration and reduce the distance of the three point line.
This will increase the odds of three point attempts going in by a very small percentage and ultimately serves
as another step in the direction of finding a solid balance between inside and outside offenses.

This was a very much needed adaptment in my opinion. Because overall the average 3-point field goal percentage was too low. Also, this will motivate more teams to try some outside tactics. And although the overall 3pt FG% might not increase very much, it is certainly a step in the right direction.

The other B3 change we’re making is an addendum to the rule that allows previous B3 winners lifelong entry into the tournament. The B3 winner will still be eligible to participate in all future tournaments but only on the condition that the team’s world rank is at 1000 or better when the B3 schedule for the new season is created.

Joe, do you remember we've been talking about this the past season, and how you said this was a ridiculous rule ? Well, now at least they made some improvement to this rule. This way, those teams that won B3 in a long gone past, will at least be obliged to keep a certain level in order to keep participating in the B3.

It's almost like the GM's were reading our BBBL forum the past season, when you read some announced changes.
And who knows, it could very well be some of them actually were reading it, also because our BBBL forum is a very active one, with a lot of discussion among experienced managers. So information wise, it might be worth it for them.

Nothing negative to say about this season's changes, they all seem right to me.

I also saw that the tax on money hoarding will only impact teams with + 25 M $, near which I am absolutely not, so I'm perfectly fine with that xD

Granting new teams a 18-yos FP player is also an excellent change, and will allow newer manager, as long as they're competent enough, to have a much more quicker start than in the past. It will perhaps also fill the TL with quality players (whether they're trained or not) and perhaps have a lowering effect on players' price (which is still totally BS if you ask my opinion, and I'm not only saying that because I have 3 starter players to find - if it doesn't improve soon enough anyone will have to save money 2 seasons long in order to buy a single reinforcement).

Statement about previous B3 teams is also correct, although nothing prevents a team from entering the competition first, and then selling all their quality players afterwards. This is, anyway, a step in the right direction, as some of those previous winners had now a laughable level.

@eagle : I don't think they read our national forum at all, but I'm glad thay have taken steps in the right direction !
