Finally I know this is about the players as well as the teams but how does WA IS A DUMP get two guys on the all star team when there are guys of a similar standard on teams with much better records like CROCKERS who have Tom Krebs (13191636) or Whitebeards Lionel Walker (14845673) and Duncan Cranshaw (10839904)?

How did Bryces player Pedro Carvalho, miss out? 3rd MVP last season and a former MVP winner in the ABBL, I would have thought he would have been one of the first picked

Good point. Yes the voting is very odd. You would think I would know Bryce's players very well but I confess I don't.

lol its clearly obvious that the more minutes you play that player at that position, the more votes he will get at that position.

and it only applies to league games.

this season Wazza has played in pretty much every single league game at SF for 30+ minutes. Hence he got 100k more votes then the guy who got the second most vote's.

Another Aussie ABBL legend to be retired

Cant see anyone paying a mill for the 33 year old thug Mitchell Pearshouse 4725936

I assume Radford or whatever his name was also got retired?

Must confess that I wasnt an expert in the history of Bryce either.

Started in season 3 in div 3 and won championships in his first 2 seasons to take him to the ABBL in season 5, where he won the Championsip the following season (season 6)..

In season 11 around Feb 2010 he appears to have undertaken " a massive tank" and sold up 4 players netting a cool 16 mill but was demoted. (makes my 8 mill in sales look pedestrian)

He survived a div 2 relegation series in season 12 and then won the championship in div 2 in season 13, enabling him to reenter the ABBL where he won championships in seasons 14, 15, 16 and 18.

How much of his 16 mill in sales could possibly be left in his warchest?

Whats are his currant plans?

Plenty of characters kicking around in the lower grades who have tanked a season in the ABBL; Avalon Jets, Iwen, Zazz, Hadders and Adams Guns to name a few

You forgot to add that in season 12 he threw two games to Chumunga and went all out in two games against the Seagulls when the two teams were fighting to avoid relegation thereby sending the Seagulls back to division III.

As for Pearshouse I don't know if he has had a lot of downpops but at age 33 he shouldn't have but for a guy that has played 45 competitive National Team games and 16 National Team scrimmages as well as abing a star for both Pancakes with Jam and Cream and Koopasaurus he isn't that impressive.

Compared to Lawrance who is on the same salary he is behind in primaries, but the secondaries are way behind, way more than 20 stat points. Basically he is a good rebounder but besides the OD nothing else is impressive. And how does he only have Experience: proficient?

Must admit to being a bit bored today.

Didnt realise that; Yarra Park Bears, The Meteors, Razzle Dazzles, Doncaster Flames, Unbeatables and the Villians all had such long histories and then there is also Pheonix Five and Tasmanian Eagles

Here's my thoughts on the all star game voting, just looking at the top 4 nominated for each position:

Big 8

PG: Hahi clearly the best. Could throw a blanket over the next three, though Goodall's efficiency probably got him over the line

Verdict: About right

SG: Anczkowski has shot poorly, but leads the league in assists, so probably gets in on that basis. I'd probably have Howarth ahead of Maicuru as backup, on the basis of his increased scoring and efficiency, but its tight, so I can forgive the selectors for that one

Verdict: Close to right

SF: Would probably switch Phung to starter, but him and Krajina have clearly been the best two performed SFs, so no real arguments here

Verdict: Fine

PF: Could argue either way about who starts, but the two picked are the best two by a fair margin.

Verdict: Fine

C: Kremer is the best here. Next 3 are close, but Fang looks a reasonable pick

Verdict: Fine

Great 8

PG: Asvestas is the best here. The backup is an issue - with 28% shooting, Jang would be a candidate for worst performed player in the league thus far. Calugus should have got the nod here

Verdict: bit of a mistake

SG: Bergman head and shoulders in front. Puac hasn't been great, but there are no real alternatives here

Verdict: Fine

SF: Wazza and Santos have been the best two. Would have started Santos personally, but not a huge mistake - Wazza has been good.

Verdict: Close to right

PF: Astaman clearly #1. Statswise, Carvalho should be in ahead of Lawrence - probably a victim of playing a fair bit of time at C. But given the relative ladder positions of the two teams, justice is probably done here.

Verdict: Fine

C: Galvin starting is fine. Bordeinu has been good, but he's only played 3 league games, not sure how he gets in. Quanrong has played great this season, and should be in the game, and arguably starting.

Verdict: Bit of a mistake

All things considered, I think the selections are pretty much spot on. That said, with 5 selections, I'm slightly biased

First time in seasons that the selectors have a legitimate reason for not picking Pedrosa for the SF spot
