Yay, is this like a BB Cup version of a nuclear arms race.

you finally got an grown up big man salary. about time, was really embarrasing to the league to have a top seed, playing look inside and fielding two starting big men that combined well under 200k in salary.

Yeah, I'm kidding about the race. Also couldn't afford it.

You mean my cheap big man renaissance wasn't inspiring? I could get league wins, just not ever really be a contender. I wasn't expecting to have this record, so I was content with making some money.

Inspiring is not the word I'd use for being aware that its possible ive been doing it wrong for 20+ seasons. The only thing worse then seeing you pull it off is knowing that I have to take my cup game seriously against a team that has a total payroll that's roughly the same as my starting center alone.

That guy is a complete oddball. His team is so weird. I've seen some of his bids on the TL and he pays a fortune for guys who are basically well rounded SF's and then he tweaks them from there. Always has a good regular season record, but also always got bounced early in the playoffs in D2. I haven't followed our old league too much so I don't know if he's switched it up, or built/bought enough guys to actually contend now.

This Vega thing is actually another experiment. I've never had a big built like him. But he fits the areas my team desperately needed...so in theory it SHOULD work. But then again I thought that 200k point guard I ran with last season was a great idea at the time too. Not saying he was a bad player, it's just that I discovered his skills really didn't fit with my team. I think Vega's do...but clearly I've been wrong before.

No. For me it was a planned move for a while: I've been making bids on players for a couple of weeks now.

So I have been saving my money, waiting patiently for the end of the season to get here so I can start buying my bigs and get ready for next season. So the other night I saw a big I was drooling over, and thought I could get him for cheap....I had the bid, and was bummed to see I was outbid....by Coco! So we totally got in each others way, and slowly bid him up over 15 minutes giving someone a chance to log in and outbid us both, so neither of us got him.

Then, I see Vega back on the market, His previous sale prices have not been very good, so I thought I could go after him. But I wanted to let that auction expire, and buy him next week after he's relisted so I can avoid paying an extra 193K in salary. Nobody bids....5 minutes left....nobody bids....3 minutes left...Shoot!! Freaking AZ Bullish Mentality places a late bid and snags him. Plan foiled!

So then I see these two get matched up against each other in the Cup...couldnt help but notice the irony.

I hope your team busses crash arriving at the Neutral Court Arena and all your players die.
