I find it a good idea to get tall 18 year guy with outside skills and train him for PF. This way you're getting outside skills for almost free, because he's counted for SG when sold, and costs less than he should because he's so tall and there is no point to train him further as SG.

So, I bought one 213 cm tall guy for 38k 10 days ago. He was a shooting guard then, with DMI at 10k. Look at him now: he jumped 2 popups at once (training - IS, 5 players), turned SF, and his DMI is now quite decent to give him secondary role as PF in a serious game. I bet he will easily have 7-8 more popups till the end of this season (IS, RB and ID), and he will turn into very promising PF trainee.

To the original poster I think what I would do if I were you is single position train passing if you can afford to for about 4 weeks to get his passing up a bit. Then turn him into a PF by training his inside skills. May or may not be what others would do and I have been playing long so take it for what it is worth I could be totally wrong.

Yes that's my point exactly. The start could be a little harder than on the convetional PF but i think is worth the trouble if you already have a strong team and you can play him only in cup/scrimmage or even in the games that you are sure you will win/lose.
Mybe you could post an update sometime maybe next season with the skills he gains.

I dunno, it seems like a lot of effort to get an all around average player to become a good one. I don't see his height as really the main problem, but his stats for me aren't eye -popping.

ok maybe he will not be a NT starter but i got him for 50k and in 2 season's time i may sale him for 2.5-3 mil without changing my training plan.
