There was a thread in the global forum about 2 months ago where you said that there was no team that had only played 1 or 2 seasons that had a better team than you, and I said that I had a better team than you and had only played 1 full season. Remember? :D

Yeah my arena pulls in about 270k at the moment. I make 200k profit a week, I wouldn't call that a tight budget.
Yeah I just sold my one and only trainee 2 weeks ago and am just training stamina and free throws for the rest of this season.

You started around 27th of march this year. I started on the 19th of december last year. That is EXACTLY 1 full season.
So my team is only 1 season older than yours.

I'm not training at the moment, but hoping to get some good draftees this season and then going to train up. And I still expand my arena, spent about 1 million in the last few weeks.

nah I don't reckon. Lets say I had 3 18 year olds that I trained for the next 4 weeks. That means that maybe I get 2 pops per player. The amount I would pay for those 3 players + the salary I pay for those 3 players would be more than the amount I got from them if I sold them in 4 weeks time. I'd much rather use the money on another older veteran. Then I can get free trainees in the draft to train next season.

I get it now. So if you fire a player before the end of the week (or before monday?), they don't get paid?

I can buy them on monday arvo (after the financial update) and as long as I fire them before the following monday arvo (before the financial update) I don't have to pay salaries.

I think the player should touch a salary prorata of the time he stayed on your roster. Kind like the staff

This way, its more like a 10 day contract in the NBA, not guaranteed...so its actually realistic the way it is.

No disrespect to anyone but you simply can not compare teams like that.

For one, you are Japanese team and when you started you were already in Division 2. For Australian teams, they start in Division 4 (US starts in D5). You are at a huge advantage if you want to compare it that way because starting in Division 2 entitles you to a lot higher income in the form of merchandising, tv revenue and larger fan base for your home games. With this extra money, you can buy better players a lot quicker.

unless you find another Japanese team to compare it with (or one where the user base starts in D2), you simply can not compare how good your managerial skills are with other teams from other countries that had a lot tougher route to get into D2.
