Ha, I'm really torn what to do with my guards. I drafted Billingsley, trained him, and got him on the U21 and NT squads. I dunno if I can throw away 8 seasons of history. Not to mention he does wonders for my merchandise sales (last update was $100k!). I know his transfer window is shrinking though, he's gonna be 27, so it'd be nice to get $4-5 million out of him, but I could certainly use him for next season.

Saeedi's out, the scoring was nice but Yaser is younger and more well-rounded with a likely equal salary. And obviously I'm done with big men for a while!

For selfish reasons, get rid of Billingsley. Seriously, I was thinking about Moore and Colburn (who's nearly identical to Billingsly and will be in price next year) but I can't get rid of my guys that I drafted and trained. They are the backbone of my team. I can get big guys anytime. They are a dime a dozen. Their salaries are out of whack, though.

I also find it interesting how, all of a sudden this year, you can play 20-30k guys against 70-90k guys and compete. Weird change.

If that were totally true, my team would have been a serious playoff contender...

Don't ask what sort of Chunks they are, you probably don't want to know. Blowing Chunks since Season 4!

I played PON because my enthusiasm was already 11 and I wanted to make a deep run. Figured that the home court advantage would dissolve your CT.

I expected my outside game to be shut down, that's why I went inside with my 56k, 97k, and 90+k big men against your 42k, 19k, and 13k guys. And yet they were somehow 17-45 shooting even with 2 guys having stupendous and marvelous IS. If you had told me I'd have been -3 levels in OD rating vs. my OS, but +5 levels in ID vs. my IS, as well as +1 in my OD vs. OS and +3 in my ID vs. IS, I would've taken that every day. Not to mention the 3 level rebounding advantage.

I just think it's a flaw in the game if a good outside defense can shut down an entire team's offense (and we had the same OD rating!), a good outside offense is impossible to stop, while a good inside offense and defense is useless because it supposedly can be somehow stopped by a bunch of little guards? This is basically how the Heathens have become a top 5 team in the world and won the NBBA title last year. They had nothing but insanely high OD and dominated. Just don't think it's realistic at all.

The thing is, I don't think high enthusiasm effects each part of the game equally. I think SB had high enthusiasm plus Playoff CT, which means his defense was going to be really outstanding.

As the playoffs progress and enthusiasm drops, defense tends to erode.

Playing high enthusiasm vs. high enthusiasm will yield a different game than average enthusiasm vs. average enthusiasm, IMHO.

We are going back to dIII. We'll try to be back to div.II next season.......just hoping that we are not "randomly" going back to div.II.1

Enlightening first game of the playoffs. Slater out for the balance of the playoffs and yet, his SF partner Brown had the game of his life. I was surprised by the margin of victory, but then maybe my enthusiasm was higher? I thought Balls had perhaps playing PO-Normal...

Oh well, big weekend ahead!

Good luck Ginger!

Bruins,

Good luck next year in Div I. You are well-suited to compete there. You were clearly the class of this division, the toughest dII, this season.

Peace and good riddance,

Scrap Heap
