Well I threw everything at the Fighters and still lost by 16. Their only loss was by 4 in overtime away against Otaku. I think they are looking very strong. You only lost to them by 5 as well. All so close. I think all four top teams on our side are looking very strong but whoever emerges as the top in the Big8 will have a much easier run and be able to TIE all the way to the finals.

Fighters Normal'd to my TIE, and my PG went down to a game-long-injury (thankfully not longer!) in the first quarter. I think I'm a not-so-hot match-up for him, but it's interesting: I think for the top 4 teams, it's bit of a coin flip on any given night who's stronger.
It's a pity the Big 8's substantially weaker, but I'm not sure they can TIE all the way to the Finals. Because by my reckoning, they are ALL quite a bit weaker - which makes it equally as difficult. If someone steps it up a bit, then they may be able to coast.

Still... if I promote this season? Fine. If I don't, that's fine too. I'm happy with what I'm doing.

Well damnit.
Four of us Great 8ers still in the cup. Shikoku, Sapporo & Kyoto pull bots. Me? I get a boosted Fumoffu.

I am too happy because this week I can play all of my 3 match TIE and so we can deal the next week that will be hard: I will play against the first of the East Conference away and probably against a very difficult team in the cup (There won't be more BOTS)

Malice, You are doing a very great season. I think you are now in the top 3 team of our conference (Shikoku, you and me), any doubt. There will be another difficult season for me. Good job, and good luck for everyone.

I feel a little dishonored by this. NKRK only beat me in OT and put more effort into the game than me. I beat Shikoku Otaku by 11. I had 1 bad game for the season so far and that was against you. I would agree if you said you were the strongest team this season but how am I in a different category from NKRK and Shikoku Otaku?

Tonight's games showed the significant difference between the Big 8 and the Great 8.
#3 Kyoto defeats #1 楽しい 108-85 (both playing same level - Normal?)
#4 Shikoku destroys #4 Zenigata 119-68 (both playing same level - Normal?)
#2 NKRK defeats #2 aisteru 85-71 (NKRK playing TIE, aisteru on Normal)

Sapporo and Baikinman had non-matches against significantly weaker opponents. He has tougher games coming up, with 3 of the next four being harder opponents (Terry Bogard, Shikoku Otaku & NKRK). I see him winning 1-4 games over the next two weeks.

From my perspective, it's a pity Sapporo, Shikoku, Kyoto & my Northern Kyushu are all in the same conference.

You are correct now not only is 2.1 much stronger than the other division IIs but the Great 8 is much stronger that the Big 8. I think there is the same problem in the JBBL. I would bet that the chamiopn this season comes from the Great 8 unless a Big 8 team has a lot of spending before the end of the season - it will need to be millions.

Quite possibly so... tho' I don't quite understand what you mean by "you were all right, were weak, you rank 1234 and so on".
I agree: Sapporo is in the driver's seat as far as winning the title. God knows no contesting of that is coming out of your conference. And honestly? You read as being more than a little bitter at the success Kyoto/I have had.

Thanks. Nothing is ever certain and there will be a bloodbath in the Great 8 to try and get out this season and some teams are already in the arms race NKRK spent a lot on a great big man.

Li Dahui Transfer 8/25/2011 17 Purchased from Free Agency for $ 816 000

Li Dahui (16509397)
Center
Owner: Northern Kyushu Ramen Kings

Weekly salary: $ 33 127
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 113700
Age: 21
Height: 7'0" / 213 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: average

That will neutralise the advantage I had with my big Chinese guys. The Greek who was underperforming is already on the way out replaced by a much better player.

Interesting to read the other news:

8/28/2011 - Baikinman has just acquired Hideyuki Honda for $ 1 275 000.

He looks like agreat trainee.

Hideyuki Honda (19825316)
Point Guard
Owner: Baikinman

Weekly salary: $ 7 102
Role: draws a paycheck
(BuzzerBeta)

DMI: 25300
Age: 19
Height: 6'2" / 188 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: average

But the cost? It seems very high as usual for him.

Transfer 8/28/2011 17 Purchased from Fire Country Trail Blazers for $ 1 275 000

What a gift for Wolph? I wonder what the other JBBL teams think about him getting a $ 1 275 000 gift from his draft pick #16 - yet another massive advantage of being in II.2, 3 or 4?

Even if the cost is grossly inflated I think that may be a good move for Baikinman, that may be the best 19 year old Japanese guard in the world and with the good potential he can be a star here and a good starter in the JBBL.

Meanwhile in the cross conference games the Great 8 "Big 3 + Kyoto" still look strong as we are 8-0 in cross conference games so far. The top team KFC lost to the mighty Fighters by 15 and the lowly Shogun by 23 so now it is up to the Otaku and Kings to finish the job.
