DIVISION III.14

BudWeisers 2nd stab at Div II was a one season stay again, however unless changes are made elsewhere in this league, their visit back in Div III will be just as brief.
Leb by MVP candidate Saša Vukčević at the pivot and fellow big man Virginijus Irikinas, the Buds offer the only real 5 deep starting lineup at the moment.

Not to say that won't change, or that there's no competition.
In the Big 8, the Saskatchewan Marauders and KEVcool can hang with the Buds with an addition or two..

Over in the Great 8:
23 year old Canadian SG Alex Samra leads a trio of bonafide stars as conference favourites trying to lift tiMbiTz to victory.

RUMpage is the best of the rest and grabbed the home end of their battle with tiMbiTz to set the early standard.
The tiny doughnuts losing it at the foul line, just 11-20 while the Rummers went 29-44 in a 12 point home win.

DIVISION III.15

This league might provide the best 2 conference grouping of potential winners at the Div III level in the country.

The Great 8 provides the league's best team – The Belt Buckles and 3 worthy opponents.
The Buckles run out a strong starting 5 and keep the pressure up with the league's best bench.
The Mustard Tigers and Toronto Ally Oops won't take much of a back seat here and a 4th contender, 3 Second Violation means enthusiasm might be tough to build in a 4 team race.

The surprise in the Big 8 might be Crazy Joes, the rising power served notice by going out and signing Center Leung Hee Soon before season 19 and it's paying dividends early on.
Vaughan Road led by 24 year old Canadian C Cory Shirley will contend and last year's conference champ Bare Bottoms have arguably the league's best player in 23 year old Canadian C David Castro but they are as their name suggests, the starting line up is bare at the bottom at the moment.

DIVISION III.16

There are no superstar teams here, not one ranked in the country's top 120 but there is some talent and some competition.

The top ranked team in each conference is not currently thought to be the best.
spiders ball in the Big 8 seem to be just a slim step back in talent from the up and coming Yukon Golddiggers and the gap should widen as 21 year old Canadian C Michael Hackett continues to get better...and get your Spidey senses up,what's with the 43 players?

The Great 8 will provide more of a challenge.
Phi Slamma Jamma is the arrival from Div II and they may have the league's best player in 23 year old C Jere Salovirta but if they don't improve the rest, they'll struggle to make the playoffs.
It's a longjam for conference supremacy right now.
Dunnville Mudcats are well balanced from player 1 through 9, and we take our hats off to the all 14 man Canadian unit.
Hoosiers09 run a similar lineup with a better top player in SG Edžus Dreijers and they run 10 deep.
Labeynerz might grab it all thanks to their ever improving 22 year old Canadian PF Paul Coffey Farley.
And with a tweak here and there the toronto matrix could also make some noise.

DIVISION III ANALYSIS

Just a few notes after going through all 16 leagues.
First, hopefully I didn't miss out on your team should you have made some recent additions that changed your outlook than I'm sorry.
2nd - surprising really how many teams don't understand game shape and how it lets teams with lesser players beat you.
3rd- at this level training is a lot easier and you get players that will be a whole lot better come playoff time than what their salaries actually are and then if you can't afford them, you can sell 'em.
I'll update as season rolls along.
Best of luck and hope to see you in Div II, if I can hang around!

Fantastic work HTG... although you'll be embarrassed by that Div III.13 prediction come season's end.

Sorry Jay
didn't actually make a prediction
though I did name your team as one of 3 in your conference
you must have some changes planned
because right now you would be hard pressed to win any of 32 conferences in Div III

cool stuff, thanks for going through all the Div III teams. this looks amazing.

Just sitting back and training my back court for now and getting ready to get back into Div II in a season or two, was my first time there and lets just say i wasn't ready for it. :)

Probably due to the terrific gameshape your top players are keeping while starting 3 games every week. ;)
