No worries, it happens. If we keep getting minutes like that though we'll be in good shape.

Solid all around first GS update, so good work guys! I'll be officially picking the opening roster sometime tomorrow.

Be ready for an exciting first game against Romania as the English NT squad looks to try out some new things!

Well we got season 22 off on the wrong foot as I made a slight screw up in tactics that hurt us quite a bit. We'll bounce back quickly though as we prepare to host India next week!

The Backcourt of Tomorrow, Today!
The English NT finally got into its season 22 groove today with a resounding 28 pt home victory over India. In the game bigman Darryl Austin made his triumphant return to the team, with 31 pts in only 25 minutes. England looked in control throughout the game, and the coaches were happy with everyone's performances after the game.

But the biggest news for today had to be the debut of a backcourt that you'd better get used to seeing in seasons to come as PG Shatrughan Palit and SG James Gascoigne both made their first starts in competitive NT games. Both players looked solid all around and you could tell why we've been patiently awaiting their arrival on the NT for so long now. Palit was starting in place of injured starting guard Barry Bains, while Gascoigne is seeing time due to Mackays distinct lack of work ethic this season and Sharplings iffy GS. Expect to see both of them for many seasons to come!

Well the draw is out, and it's ok... We don't have anybody unbeatable on our schedule, but we don't have too many gimme's either. Should be fun!

Big day for me as manager to see Gascoigne play for England after so many seasons of training :)
He's got plenty more to come so lets hope he can settle in well with the rest of the guys coming through and improve our NT's results

He's off the beer now and keeps himself in good shape (unlike another Gascoigne i can think of at 25 years old!) so he should be a viable option from now on

It also feels good seeing Palit in the starting line up as I too have trained Palit since drafting him and its amazing how far he has come to get to this level.

Team Looks Bored, Still Pulls Out Victory
Team Ratings, Individual Ratings, PP100, everything pointed towards a blowout victory, but Costa Rica hung tough for most of the game as the English NT came away with a 14 pt victory. The backcourt of the future once again found itself in the starting lineup, but Gascoigne slid over to SF to make room for Sharpling in the starting lineup.

Player of the game was split between starting SG Alan Sharpling- 28 pts, 5 ast and starting SF James Gascoigne- 15 pts, 8 ast, 4 reb.

England looks to keep rolling next week as we host the Netherlands.

3-1 and things are looking up for the NT. We have positioned ourselves quite well for the second stretch of the seeding games, hopefully things continue to break in our favor :)
