I have played this offense alot. It is almost as aggressive as LI, and will spread the ball around like a basic offense.
With skilled big men they will find the open man provided that the open man makes the shot.
With the right personnel, this offense is difficult to defend
Also from game to game it saves on the wear and year of your big men continuing getting fouled which increases the chance of injury that you may see running the LI offense.
The Outside isolation example of relativelty the same thing, it's just a matter of offensive flow.....outside the pg controls the offense as seen by the 12 combined assists by both PGs in that game shown above. Whereas IO..... think of the old Houston Rockets teams, everything flowed through Hakeem, he was the number 1 scoring option and distributor.......if that is the case then it can be argued with both offenses that it has the same principles of the inside and outside "triangle" offense.
For all intensive purposes BB should have just inserted "triangle" instead of isolation but that is what this form of isolation is.
It spreads the floor better than any offense I have yet to see.
