I don't understand why everyone wants to push DR (and HA with that) so high.
Is it because it trains fast and is cheap or do you really see an added value?

I think I'd rather have more jump range and passing because I think that will help exploiting defense weaknesses better than pure driving.

I have a mixed experience with high DR on a big.

I once had a PF who looked (more or less) like the following:

9 7
5 13
15 6
14 14
16 13

A quite decent player overall, but I didn't feel like the relatively high amount of driving did help him score.
He was always below .500, mainly in the low .400 (in Germany's Div. 2).
Although he had no problem to get a shot off, he didn't seem to get the ball into the basket.

Probably because of the 9 JS and 6 PAS. 9 JS means that he won't hit a lot of jumpers and 6 PAS means that he won't pass the ball out of trouble and will take a lot of contested shots, so I think it has more to do with that, than anything else.

My current Nr. 2 trainee started with a skillset out of a dream
JS 1, DR 1 and PA 7.

I trained him togheter with my NT player. Now he looks like this:
1 - 7
5 - 10
4 - 15
7 - 8
8 - 9

He receives inside training. This season I ran some test during the cup. He is a hell of a point center.
Three triple doubles, 75 assists and 87 rebounds in the four bot games. I'm looking forward when he reaches SB 15, RB 15 and ID 15. Some of you will say:"Are you insane?" YES Ask the other german managers, they will confirm it. But let's think about it. Is there really a perfect skill set? naaah. It depends always on the tactic and the other players. The kind of players I search are very unique and sometimes they even doesn't exist. That's the reason why I build Haek. And that's one of the reasons why I'm building this guy up there. The skill set of our NT PF Broszeit was on of my ideas. He's a moster now. The next interesting guy is already in the NT too. This time its a guard. Manon tested some of my crazy theories and played in the BBB. ^^ It's always the big picture that matters and not only one position.
My current utopia experiment (SF/PF) trainee is a scoring beast. It doesn't matter which tactic I choose, he will always perform on the same level. The supporting cast is designed around him. That's the reason why I can outplay 210k teams with a 120k team. Don't search for the ideal player, search for the ideal system.

Great points sir!

How about my guy.

Potential: superstar
12 9
7 7
9 10
14 13
12 17

that is my projected skills for him after training upto 25

Will he works pretty well?

One of the reason that I train him is to find out if a player with their BLK as the highest skill can work out.
