The 4 teams that reach the semi's will be those that have had HCA in the close encounters. I reckon on their day around a dozen or so teams have a chance and although some games will be won by more tactically astute managers with lesser rosters the majority of games will boil down to who plays at home.....

Would you recommend making all B3 rounds take place at a neutral site?

We could certainly do that; we have held off mainly because we like the games spread out throughout the day and we feel that if you've made it to the B3, you deserve to play in front of your home fans on the way there if the draw is kind.

No matter what the outcome of this debate, all currently posted matches will not be at neutral sites. However, if the answer is overwhelmingly that we should play the B3 at a neutral site earlier, we might start the neutral-site games with 16 teams remaining rather than 4.

Personally I think it will create closer more competitive / exciting games. Also as the revenue from the games is not attendence related it wouldnt matter. The timing as you say is something worth keeping BUT as i stated last season if a team in Asia gets drawn away to a team in America then not only does the American team get HCA they also only have 1 daily update between their last league game as opposed to 2 daily updates for the Asian team which means 'we' can't keep our enthusiasm levels up to the max.

On the same theme what about the option for PL to be set up with neutral grounds (or just HCA taken out of the game engine). As you are probably aware we are due to start a very competitive 16 team PL soon and if the random factor is as it has been previously it would be a shame to see some teams get 12 home games and others 12 away..... I am only speaking for myself but the final outcome of the league seems as though it will be determined more by who gets the HCA than the tactics selected.

I am not quite sure how I stand on the HCA issue.

Actually I think keeping HCA will also help create a few upsets. So smaller team will actually have a chance if they have a lucky draw.

If HCA is removed you might have more games where the underdogs will throw the game away in exchange for success in the national championship.

But I think that removing HCA from the quarterfinal would be nice.

I agree with Superfly here on the need to eliminate HCA in BB3 (and in PL games too). As the results of our PL show, when two teams are pretty even, the home team almost always wins. If the purpose of BB3 is to demonstrate who the best team is, that would probably be the way to go (although it did seem to work out quite well last season with the Drunkers).

And I am just not saying this because I have to travel to KDB this week - after all, I was the biggest beneficiary last season (almost lost my most difficult road game to the Lakers despite knocking out one of his top players early in the game).

Note: for timing, it worked well last season for the BB3 semifinals, utilizing the regular home times for the team that drew the home position even though the game was in Germany.

I agree with making them at neutral sites, especially as there's not any ticket revenue.

As for times/locations, be cool to have games randomly played at the biggest arena's around the world.

No matter what the outcome of this debate, all currently posted matches will not be at neutral sites.

excellent, excellent choice

I think that the neutral court choice is the good one, we could see which squad and manager is really the best [;)]

Neutral ground for each game would be better. With the actual system there is too much random who will win the BBB. It's like in hattrick - the importantst thing is to have luck on your side.

Arcade-Mode for BBB would also be fine! Right now i have the problem that i need more players to avoid form-drops. So i have to field weaker players in cup or league.

nice win tonight... thought id throw a sideball in and see what stats I could muster looking inside 2-3.

i was happy to keep the score respectable - what do you think wouldve been the outcome with a neutral court?

taking away HCA is definitely the way to go.... if we are ever to get a global ranking then we need to eradicate HCA and let the tactics do the talking....

one other point -everyone enters the PL with different enthusiasm.... i for example reckon i can play with higher than average compared to teams in more competitive leagues...so what about neutral courts - enthusiasm fixed at 7?
