This offense has been hit or miss for me at times.

I tend to get a lot of shots with my best player on the floor but this can be good or bad.

I once had my SG end the game with 55 points and go like 8-13 from 3 point range including 4-5 in the last few minutes to win the game.

I have also seen that same player shoot on roughly 8 straight possessions and miss each time in another game. If you big player is having an off night it tends to be a disaster.

I think that this offense is best suited if you have one scorer on the team that is far superior or if you are trying to exploit a great matchup vs a very poor defender.

From a pure statistical stand point the Patient offense seems to end up the way that I would expect the isolation offenses to work.

will patient still work if opponent manager let his coach decide while using shooting player as power forward or center? has anyone experienced this situation or has some general information?

I played Patient and Let coach decide recently. The coach selected exactly the same players that I usually select and I scored just over 70 points, despite being much better than my opposition.

did the coach used the player at a differen position like pf/c or at usual position(s)?

and i also want to learn if other team let its coach decide what will happen? for example if i select my sg as center, will my opponent team's coach defend my player with a guard or center? i know it's a rare situation and hard to know exact answer. but today i will face with a strong opponent and he is letting his coach decide probably. i am thinking about patient tactic but can't be sure.

Oh boy 250 posts are too much for me but maybe some of u can explain my last Patient victory for me cause i have no clue about that tactic!!

looks for me like u only need a SG at C spot to crush the engine...is it soo easy?!?

Not only in C position it could be in PF position, playing SG with high JS in SF position also proves to be effective. And no it's not so easy because once people realize you are trying to trick them with patient they will use 3-2 zone and it doesn't matter there you put you SG :)

After his C fouled out, Lucky fan played the rest of the game because he fielded only 5 players. If he had another C backup, you maybe wouldn't win.

did u really read my post?

i was crushing on him with his C playing and leading with TWENTY ONE points before the lucky fan entered the game..i dont think my team.....but anyway, that wasn the point of my question..he played with a 150k PG, a 50k SG etc pp..my whole squad had 60k and only one big mismatch ( he had at least two at teh guard spots ) was enough??

that was the point!!!

Cheers

Will

Patient offense made me win the league 2.4 championship last season even though I am an underdog. It was very good for my team. I had a pure PG with marv passing, JS and OD by inept JR which he never took so many shots. My SG has a prodi OD, marv JS and he is my 2nd scorer but my main scorer is my SF with Pheno JS and proli JR, he is the one carrying my team getting 40+ points in every single game. In my experience, building a team with that kind of offense requires a good rebounder (which my center has pheno rebounding), PURE point guard, ONE Scorer and the others are defenders.

You found a chemistry where it gave the ball at a good mismatch. Unfortunately we have no control of how it chooses who shoots everything, we can't call plays, just a general overall offence.

thats the point..i tested it with our Nt with maybe the best shooting forward at C spot and i failed big time....i have really no clue how that offense works :-D

(17665) (17695)

strange as well is that game (17785) ...i used let coach decide and the engine did not even sub Pramreiter ?!?

The patient offence seeking for the guy wit the hightest driving if there is a tie between few players then its harder to predict ,if you play A driving guard on the C spot you'll need hell of a IS because every driving made will fail most of the time ,if you're presured with zone def than its harder to found that sweet mismach,This is very strong tactic but you'll have to use it in the right circumstances,or youll face an epic faill ,youll have to choose wiselly from where do you want youre points to came because youre go-to guy will take something like 40+ shots
