That pretty much sums it up. I figured at the very least I would let everyone know that training is delayed again. I'm tired of apologizing and from the responses I've read it seems that people are tired of seeing them. It doesn't matter how the MOTD is worded, complaints will persist until the actual problem is solved (and rightfully so).
On the bright side, the training delay was only two hours today. That's the best update in a while. The developers are still plugging away at trying to get everything back to normal. Hopefully that happens sooner rather than later.
i know this wasnt directed at me directly but i felt it was mentioned to me as well, especially since you said something like this directed to me directly last week or was it the week before?
I must apologise big time if I misunderstand this message, superfly and me never ment to say or imply that we are tired to see these messages and i dont think anyone wrote something remotely like this either. Like I said to other people on this forum today, not a single person made a complaint. All superfly and myself tried to say is that the wording was quite "unlucky"?? I dont know a more "diplomatic" word to use, because english isnt my first language. Iam sure both myself and superfly didnt mean it as a complaint. you can see criticism as a glass half full or half empty. responding to our messages the way you did, i see it that you think off it as criticism, i dont know superfly personally, and i only know myself, but from the amount off help superfly and myself give to other people, i can say quite surely we arent the whining, complaining, criticizing type, but more the helping kind, perhaps we are very direct in our communication but this doesnt mean we are whiners, complainers etc. atleast that is how i see it...
I'd be somewhat insulted to read a blanket statement that doesn't allude to the fact that this wasn't the first week training has been delayed. Doing so would give me the impression that they're sweeping the past problems under the rug; like they never happened. Would you really prefer to read the same generic excuse every week? It would be discourteous to all of the loyal BBers to write anything that isn't blunt and to the point after all that has happened lately. I'll admit it's not the most professional approach but it's the one that I'd appreciate the most as a user.
this is fine, and i can live with this explanation very well, because i am a very direct person myself. i was just trying to help and that was all, there was nothing more to it.
the thing that i quite clearly miss, because not only yourself, but many are referring too this, is that noone or almost noone says that they believe you arent doing your utmost best to resolve the problems, i cant even see many messages that imply this. all i have said in the past is that not posting a MOTD message, some could get that feeling, but i clearly stated in the same message that this wasnt me... again back than as well, i was trying to help, but the forums arent the same as they used to be and misunerstandings are happening more and more...
i am sure you do the most to make things work better and i will never ever question that...
