I agree with everything you have said but the mistake the Knicks made was you can maybe afford one superscorer who doesn't play defence but why would you want two?

The Thunder did take the opposite route but building though the draft requires a ton of luck. What if they ended up with Greg Oden instead? Both Westbrooke and Harden turned out better much faster than expected. Even Chicago got massive luck when they got the top pick and took Rose. As for Charlotte, they show you that you can try to build the "right way" through the draft but if your picks aren't the best then you get nothing.

its a bit of luck involved really..

bobcats took emeka over dwight... cos okafor was more established then howard at the time. they chose a proven college rookie over a high schooler... look how that turned out.

and new york tried to plug the defensive incapabilities of carmleo and amare with tyson chandler LOL little do they know that its team defense that wins championships, not individual defense.

still dont get why these athletic scorers are so good when it comes to offense but sooo lazy when it comes to defense... cos being athletic also heaps a tonne in defense too... look at wade and james... they are always active in defense too..

Team is looking undersized... No Bosh, Howard or any 6'11+ players. There was even talk of putting melo at PF and LeBron at C for a few games. I guess they're pretty versatile but it will be a struggle for them against the teams with a lot of inside presence.

The team does not look undersized with Griffin, Tyson Chandler and Love in the team.

That is completely stacked!

The closest team is maybe Spain.
But Spain will give team USA a good run for its money.
this will most likely be Spain's starting five or main players...

In a normal world the lineup would struggle a bit over a tournament as Lebron would get worn down defending 6'10" inside bangers game after game. But given through the initial round they will only break a sweat a few times ..... Plus Carmelo can play some 4 if needs be

Most teams they will just destroy so easily. If anyone thinks their big men aren't up to the job and that they will miss Bosh they haven't been paying attention to Love and Chandler. Love will be a matchup nightmare for opponents and spaces the floor like no other big man besides Dirk which will allow LeBron and Griffin to go crazy inside. What a fun team this would be to coach. Just imagine having Paul with the ball and Kobe, Durant, Lebron and Love all on the court. How many assists could he get? This team can play some serious defence as well although some like Melo no doubt wont bother. But if they need stops Deron, Kobe, Iggy, Lebron and Chandler, how would you score against that unit? Also 4/5 of them are great rebounders for their position. Defence!

Do you mean Crawford as in Peter Crawford?

If so, I've played against him in Townsville. One of the games, he gave me a nice little elbow to the jaw. He didn't mean it but it still farking hurt!

Back then I was playing for the Giants. He played for the Cannons, along with Brad Davidson, Pat Reilly (sp?), Calvin Robertson and a few others.

I just had my first game back on Tuesday night and holy shivers....... I'm a bit unfit!
