true. & blah, didn't mean for it to come across like i truly believed the final score came first, & the rest 2nd. just meant that sometimes it felt like something wasn't "right" in my early days. (my original theory didn't involve the engine working backwards either or a fixed final score, FWIW)

Piggybacking on the nintendo pity... is it plausible that they could randomly increase a player's chances of committing fouls by like 900% to start a game? Or could there be an "auto foul-out script"? The way in some games single players can just lose it seems odd to me. I guess that's what i meant by outcome first (was a misuse of the word really). Because that would be basically determining in advance that the player had no chance to stay in the game. But it would still be simulated working forward. (idk, just throwing that out there without much thought. probably a ridiculous notion?)

Hmm, I don't think there's an auto-foul-out script, I've had games where I have a guy pick up 5 in 18 minutes but then wind up playing 40. I think it's one of those "you tend to remember the sucky parts" things.

Well the allstar festivities look as awesome as ever! I have both PFs... sort of deservedly so based on their stats, and beating out two (middling) US NTers. These fans have no patriotism!! I also have the starting PG but I have a hard time remembering that guy is on my team to be honest. Lorenz played ONE GAME for Brian and got 17k votes, haha. Ma Jundi cannot be happy about that.

More excitingly, my backup PF (allstar starter) Gaudin is in the 3pt contest somehow! He's 7-13 from beyond the arc this season so I'll be taking the UNDER for shooting percentage but the OVER for first-round points!

How much LI does the NBBA play again?

After this season is over, I'm thinking of changing my team up and resuming the neverending quest to make some tactic other than LI work...

I say why wait? Think of how much further along this quest you'd be if you started sooner! The all-star break is the perfect time to retool, so just forget about your pesky league game on Saturday. This is for the greater good!

P.S. Silverbacks team has a low-ish payroll, I don't want to think about what they'd be like if they actually spent money on a big man who could defend and rebound.

Well I just made 1 management mistake, I norm'd against a team that tanked. Wasn't expecting that at all.

I also don't think the title is mine to lose at this point. You and Lethargy are only 3 games away. With 9 games left it doesn't take much to close the gap, especially since we haven't even played each other yet. You could be retooling, or could beat me then decide why the hell not, and make a run at adding to your total title count. I also only beat BMG by 2 points at home, with the same effort, it wouldn't take much for him to take me in a 3 game series.

Anyway, regardless of what I do, the NBBA title is yours to lose at this point.

I mean, just looking at your team, you could take a break from training and steamroll me. I think your team has got a little too much talent compared to mine.

It was a tough decision to tank that game, I was wondering if you would predict it or not and I came out pretty sure you'd err on the side of caution. You have a bit of a target on you at this point and it's hard for me to resist picking those fights

But I'm having more fun with cup.

Yeah, I've been normal'd a lot, I was sure the trend would continue. And since your team scares me a little bit, I thought I would counter normal.

Introducing the new Enthusiasm system, for when numbers are just too confusing!

My guess is that this is designed to help brand spanking new players understand the benefits or costs of TIE, Norm, and CT at a quick glance. Makes sense. Might increase the retention rate for new players, by preventing them from getting frustrated when they wonder why their team performs worse even though they CT every game.
