Well yes HA's players salaries are about 500k less than what they started the season but they are still 170k above the salary floor.

Have won 2 in a row and have a chance of extending this winning streak to 5.

Sadly if HA doesnt properely apply the handbrake it could overtake Koops and still make 4th rather than the more financially lucrative 5th spot.

Am toying with the idea of doing an Iwen and having a proper clean out, hang on to 5th then set new standards for tanking next season.

Dont kow if I could really do this but it is a thought that has passed through the mind

hehehe now is the time to start fighting for 5th and avoid 6th in the big 8.

860k salary into 6 players...

he just needs a good guard now to make it a 7 man rotation in the PO.

Now the shoe is in the other foot. Last season the Great 8 teams watched as the Big 8 could tank just above Kynlala and bank millions all season while Hadders, Sid etc had massive rosters trying to avoid the deadly matchups. Lucky for Sid, Zazz didn't decide to just wipe the floor with him or it would have been three dead Great 8 teams. Being on the wrong side of a tanker or a bot is brutal when you are a marginal team fighting for the 5th-8th spots.

When was the last time a team won a relegation series without HCA in the abbl?

It would be a massive feat if slam! could do it. It'll either be BLS, DFBS, PBS or monkeybiz... none of them are marginal teams at all... well maybe except fatboy slim cos hes the newest.

I still feel like you'd back any one of those teams against Slam's current team with HCA. All of those teams are top quality, so Slam may be a bit unlucky in that respect (plus if any of his players get into foul trouble, he's stuffed).

That said, its not beyond the realms of possibility that Slam could make a play at 6th now. I'm sure C-Cat would want to avoid that though, so maybe he'll make a move soon to?

For what its worth, last time a team won without HCA was Zazz two seasons back
