Lol you have a spreadsheet.

Lol, you don't?

Many many seasons ago Yoda nick named me the evil accountant or something similar.

Probably a side of myself that many had forgotten given that I had been so heavily focused on training for the last 8 or so seasons

I dont spread sheet any where near as much as what I used to but I did draw up a spreadsheet with a few variations for different inclusions etc, for this 6 week B3 campaign.

Not having been to B3 before I wasnt too sure on how hard I had to push to win it, so basically I drew up a spreadsheet to find out what the limit was to how hard I could push it, and then went for it.

Lots of different variables ofcourse as I had to work out how much I could spend on purchasing players, how much Id have left in the bank to start the campaign, how many weeks the campaign needed to be and how much total players weekly salary I could sustain for the amount of weeks required.

I then had to budget for a weekly loss, over extension tax and interest on debt and also positive incomes such as Cup and B3 winnings along the journey.

Not as easy as it sounds as interest on debt is calculated prior to other expenses and also one week I have 2 home games and another week I had none

Didnt want to risk having the players sold up from underneath me a few days before the B3 final, so a spreadsheet was definitely the way to go

By buying the players a week or so before the round of 32 started, it allowed me to get their game shapes up and also probably intimidated a few other managers in B3 to not risk buying up.

Buzzerbeater is a Basketball Management Game and Excel is a management tool

Lol, of course I use a spreadsheet (for major campaigns)

Not necessarily as the goal of a trophy collecting nerd would be to flat out win every trophy available for multiple seasons - in the short term yes you will be but in the long term it will cost you more trophies then what you win now doing the buy up.

Conclusion: your just a nerd

Well, that was a rather expensive failure ;).

Must admit, I'm amazed you played base in a must win game.

Actually as far as expensive failures its no where near as bad as it could have been.

Financially Id much rather lose in the first round when losing a mill a week than make it through to the B3 final and not win it

100% right

You may need to add to this thread though (262526.1)

So you still gonna aim for ABBL title?
