It was an example. It's about skill difference. My third C got switched when I set my starting C as sub (in my first year), so that's when I first encountered the problem and tested it.
Are you talking about sub or reserve spot here. If the lineup is accepted (noone switced) then it's only logical that the sub does not play more minutes than starter. Unless there are unforseen events (like foul trouble or injury).

What i mean is that i set my starter as a 1k scrub, then set the sub and reserve as my 30k player, but i have never had the players switch spots. So why does it happen sometimes and not others?

Which game are you talking about? There are no such games this season? Perhaps your 30k player was also one skill dude with lots of blue skills? Playing that 30k player out of position?

I'll post the link to the games once i get home. But as i only have a 5 player roster i play my players all 48 minutes in 1 game and all of them as backups in the next game with 1k scrubs as starters so that i get a good number of minutes each week for those 5 players for gameshape purposes. And i have never had them switch. So either my starters aren't enough of an improvement on the 1k scrubs, which i highly doubt as i have no players that are unbalanced in skills. Or this only happens sometimes in which case i would like to know when and why it happens.

Check out my last league game. I have put my starters as the backups and reserves and I have put 1k scrubs to fill the remaining spots (ignore the SF and PF spot as I am training there).
The players that are set to backups are clearly far better than 1k scrubs. And yet the lineup did not switch round.
So why is it that you think it has happened to other people, but it doesn't seem to happen to me?

I'm not sure, perhaps it has something to do with your team constantly switching players? Perhaps your 50k player is one skiller? Keep trying, play scrubs where they are out of position, fit the position etc I bookmarked (not 50 yet lol) your team:)

I don't know why switching players would make a difference though.
The 50k player has the following:
Jump Shot: average Jump Range: mediocre
Outside Def.: respectable Handling: awful
Driving: mediocre Passing: inept
Inside Shot: prolific Inside Def.: sensational
Rebounding: tremendous Shot Blocking: proficient
Stamina: strong Free Throw: strong

Experience: respectable

He is far better than the 1k scrub and yet the coach didn't switch them.

Same thing for my 30k shooting guard not getting switched with the 1k scrub at the SG position in my last league game. The scrub even got a rating of 2.5. If a coach isn't switching players at this point, I don't see why he ever would.

The rating of the player does not matter. As it is influenced by his stamina opponent etc,etc... What matter is the skill difference. It's a bit strange that the 50k player did not get switched, but it might be the problem with your team having not enough players. This much I know: we need to gather more info.

I understand the rating is influenced by a lot of things. But any player with a rating of 2.5 in any situation should just be shot lol.
I set 7 players in to the lineup. I think that is more than enough players for a lineup especially when I am training 2 positions this week. Definitely need more info.

But, in the mean time, I am glad that everytime I have set "Strictly Follow Depth Chart" it strictly follows the depth chart :)

dont know but i use my ps3 on here and i get an error everytime i try to set my line up i click send order and it says error reload this page from team schedule everytime . i have recently acquired players and i cant get them in the game i have a pg playing center. any way u guys can help ??

Ok so today im facing my biggest opponent on my side of the schedule.

I put in a line up several days ago. Told the Coach to use the same line up and tactics
as i used vs Kansas City Jayhawks, except a normal instead of a CT. So far no probs.

Untill i start watching my game. Instead of the 8 players i had on the depth chart, theres
only 6. Instead of my normal PG and SF there are 2 different players.

Lafvenwald and Scarseletti are on the transferlist, while my SG in the important games Carmona (ruben) is on the Bench
and my SF is Bouwstra (steven) isnt even in the chart.

I think scarseletti got positioned on the PF spot and ripoles normally playing there got put on the SF spot.
After 8-10 minutes Benson gets replaced on PG by the benched Carmona. Which is not that weird as they both
can play both positions, but a bit later i see Ripoles go to the bench and see him replaced by again Carmona.

So i have no idea what went wrong. If i got hacked or if the Game Engine messed up, but i do hope that someone
can look into this issue, as this might cost me both the Big 8 spot 1 and the HCA i earned in the game against Kansas
City Jayhawks and atm that just doesnt feel right.


The line up as i put it in:

PG > Oren Benson
SG > Ruben Carmona
SF > Bouwstra
PF > Breaux
C > Lindroos

+ 2 or 3 back ups for SF/PF/C

PG and SG where also set as their own backup and reserve as they are my trainees.

Line up that got fielded:

PG > Oren Benson
SG > Lafvenwald
SF > Ripoles
PF > Scarseletti
C > Breaux

Backup Carmona (he winded up playing 41 minutes as a SF)

After the game i also noticed that the tactics werent the ones i gave in,
i put in a Low Post offence and a M2M defence.

The effort was set normal.
