I am happy to pay 900k for him and that's a generous amount. Tho if you wait till last minute and sell him, some poor pressured/ stress out manager will bid on him for that much.

You spent 4.3 million on 2 18 year olds (who judging by dmi have barely been trained) and you are telling someone they have overvalued a player?

First, you are not allowed to post transfer listed players on the forums. Even if it is only to explain a point (I have been guilty of it in the past) it is still considered player advertising.

Second, I never said the player was not overpriced. I simply pointed to the fact that the purchases of 2 18 year olds who are seasons away from being of value for $4.3 million is a much higher over estimation than a 29 year old player for $1.2 million who can make an immediate impact in someones roster. No seasons of trying to get underskilled players minutes or trainer salaries. Just a player that is ready for playoffs that still has at least another 3 seasons left... Considering my C cost me $1.5 million as a 22 year old and has a much higher skillset, I would say he is overpriced. But not even close to these 18 year olds...

I post this all the time on league forums and not yet been told any of this and these players do not belong to me so it's not advertising.

Do you know the skills of those 18 year olds?

You can ask direwolf. I had the same argument with him and another gm about when I used a transfer listed player as an example on a forum... Someone said you can't buy a dominant player for lower leagues with $400k. I found a random player on the market and posted his details exactly as you did (although I didn't link to his page) to have it removed by a gm. I argued to 3 gms that it wasn't advertising as I had nothing to gain from the sale of the player, but was told bringing a transfer listed player to the attention of the forum is advertising regardless of my intention or what the rule on advertising defines it as. I even asked for the definition to be better explained but the gms weren't too fussed by explaining it to every individual like us who interpret the definition differently to what they intended so I let it go...

I don't know their skills, but I can see their dmi. What salary would you expect them to be at next season for $2 mill a pop?

When you are already training a player and going to rebuild it's not easy to find players that fit in with the training plan, I spent more money to save me 1 whole season in out of position training.

This is my perspective of Maggot's plan..

The price of both purchases suggests that not only are the players pretty balanced and have training, but their return on investment will be low in the future, so this suggests to me that in 5 seasons time, these players will be the core to his team.

Usually trainees can cost around $500k, and would be good to train for a few seasons before selling off. I think these prospects are quite elite, so I guess we'll have to wait a few seasons to see how it all pans out.

Dmi is useless to work out training, especially if you cant see the skills. I am not training so i can raise there salaries quicker and claim they are better because i have to pay a higher salary. Dave Hamilton and John Urwin were 2 of the better guards in our league and both had lower salaries and DMI than others, Both were starters in the allstar team and both were in the Three Point Shooting Contest. Dave was leading the League Leaders - Average Points Per Game for a while, and they both owned the most 3 points scored before i sold them. So what were the others guards with higher DMI and higher salaries doing?

Good to see someone else that can see past there next game and plan for the future. At 19-0 and then for the next 3 games can TIE and still have the HC add in the final's, even with 1 lose witch is meaningless to Iwen now.

Iwen why don't you tell us how long you have been planing this ABBL run for?

How long have you been training Eugenio Dell'Asta for?

Well, my intention was always for my rookies to mature as I push towards ABBL, before all their salaries hit 100k... which should be next season for at least 1 or 2 of them..

I've been training Dell'Asta since he was 18, so that's 7 seasons now!
