Yeah i've come to realise the same thing lower ranked teams often end up with good draft prosepcts and are more willing to sell them.

...and that same team also had a 21yo Hall of Famer and a 19 year old Superstar (who was ALSO a PG!). How disgusting is that? I mentored new teams in my old division last season and most had one trainable player at most while this guy gets 4 crazy good ones? Even better in the draft they picked up another insane PG...

Tully Braithwaite (13435335) Point Guard
Owner: Danyle Star
Weekly salary: $ 3 949
DMI: 46400
Age: 18
Height: 6'0" / 183 cm
Potential: MVP
Game Shape: proficient

I admit I have had some massive luck in the draft but this team is just way too lucky. To start with a player you can sell right away for $3,000,000 is just wrong and really can ruin balance in the game.

This is a 1 minute survey of my old leagues bottom 8 teams and the non-drafted 18-19 year olds some of the teams have
jacobsd.league 18 starter $2000 salary and 18 6th man $2000 salary.
The wild bulls 19 6th man 4000 19 role player 3000 and 19 star 4000
Macktown Steamrollers 19 6th man $3000 and 19 MVP $4000 first good not great one
The Bears 18 star $4000 and that is it!
the american heat 18 bench warmer $2000 wow welcome to buzzer beater
Blazing Lamas 18 perennial allstar oh yeah...salary $2651, 18 starter $1656 and finally a bomb - 18 HoF $ 4361.
30 sixers 4 young guns - awesome hey? 18 starter $2000, 18 role player $2000 18 role player $3000 and 19 all star $3000.
RazzleDazzle 18 bench warmer $2000, 19 6th man $2500 and 19 starter $4657.

How is this fair? Teams are not starting from a level playing field. I had a decent start with an 18 all star $4000 worth $100,000 at the time. But what amount of skillful play can make up for starting with a $2000 bench warmer while others start with a $6000 MVP?

I agree it is unfair, but the draft can be unfair too. And both are essentially based on complete randomness and luck. So unless they make it that each team starts with the same players, or no player is above 3k salary or something, it will always be luck that determines how well teams start.

Hey all, doing some early scouting for next season (due to popular demand) so if you have a 20 yo who you think is in with a show for next seasons team, please give a message with his attributes.

Cheers

i think that was a draft pick which is not being complained about even in the case of chicago who utterly lucked into rose

i think it is the players you are 'given' that is the problem

that is more like pau gasol and a championship being given to the lakers for worthless rubbish that is the sort of thing that annoys everyone

there was also a trade phoenix did a while ago something like an ok player with a bad contract and 2 first round draft picks for a second round draft pick yeah the suns had to do it to shed salary but what a gift

Nice work so far Naker, i'm excited to see this guy when his 21. Remember get guard skills in him early then inside skills to make him a great all round C, plus you don't want salary too high because of his potential. Keep up the good work!

Cheers. Yeah I am training inside shot to strong. And then continuing on guard skills.

Anyone else have any tips/advice?

Potential isn't capped by salary, it's a rough guide, but more a cap on total skills.
