This is making me worry that I shouldn't desperately try to catch you, if this season is going to be asterisked in the NBBA books. "Yeah, XYZ won in season 14 ", but it was "the lost season"...

I've given that some thought, and I think it's BS. KDB and Heathens both had unsustainable rosters, and were going to have to make some moves this season.

It could be argued, however, that no matter what changes KDB/Heathens made it still would have been harder for me to secure the #1 seed - if that does indeed happen.
