This has not been indicated anywhere that I am aware of.

If one team hold first position he can beat almost everyone with TIE except maybe 1-2 opponents which can be beaten by normal enthusiasm. It means that you have enough games to build your enthusiasm towards 10. The question is how much manager trusts in his team ;)

You didn't understand my point.
my point was that team C would have a clear advantage on either A and B, because they had the ability to TIE many games at the end of the season, A and B on the other hand, has to decide between TIEing and risk losing the first place and the home court advantage or playing normal and get to the playoffs with inferior enthusiasm than C's, i.e. C has gained profit from being a loser.

and so what would people rather have Home court advantage or higher enthusiasm? who gets drawn at home in the semis?

It's not a draw. The team with better winning percentage gets the home court advantage.
At the situation I've described above, teams A and B should decide what would be better for them: the home court or enthusiasm, while C doesn't have this problem, and can safely increase its enthusiasm.

im talking about the 2nd round of the playoffs... if 1 plays 4 and 2 plays 3 will 1 stay at home in the next game and if 4 surprises them will the winner of 2v3 play at home... i appreciate the build up in enthusiasm..... what would you prefer Home advantage and 7 enthusiasm or away with 9?

The team with better winning percentage always gets the home court advantage. if number 4 surprised number 1 it has to also surprise number 2 or 3 in their(2 or 3s) home court...

I think it makes sense... this is a gamble the teams should take... either guve up the first place by playing TIEs or go for it and take your chances... I think it fair that if a team rests befroe the PF then it has some sort of advatage.

How much does Enthusiam affect the game? And TIE or CT?
Anyone Know? Any posts on that?

Sorry but it is you who didn`t understand...if you are in the top of the table you should play TIE all games and in case you win them and keep on the top you will benefit from both position on the table and enthusiasm.

If you lose some of that games and lose a top position also, and in the same time other teams play TIE and overtake you by winning all the games then you have other problem - weak team. I mean, not you but teams A & B in your example.

EDIT: Bottom line is - if team A or B is not sure of his strength they should focus on winning first place in league and forget TIE approach.
