had the same bug in my last 2 games. shoulda been a 24sec violation and ended up in a steal after about 30 seconds

This is definitely known, and not super rare. That being said, more info might help...

What doesn't help is just posting "me too"s. If you can post an example of precisely when it happened, with a link, like PunkFloid did in the first post, then do that. The sticky thread (24231.3) has instructions on how to do that.
