No, Deliberately Meaningless Index. Which is definitely not the same as deliberately misleading.

"I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve."

The funny thing is, it isn't entirely meaningless, since a player in proficient form will have a salary which is about equal to his DMI, when you take one zero of. That way you can see about how much salary a player will get with his current set of skills.

Are you talking about when the season ends and salaries get renegotiated during the off-season? Because the DMI fluctuates as the season progresses and therefore your theory would not hold true at all times.

Forgot to add one thing to my post.

I know the DMI is Deliberately Meaningless Index, but I've used it to determine who's playing well as the season progresses based off their minutes. It's not always accurate but a higher DMI usually indicates that the player is playing really well. Obviously, you can't use that against the Rookies until they play at least their first game.

it fluctuates a lot, during training or different form ;) With proficient form it is nearly constant, the value isn't totally correct but a good estimation.

Another thing you could use the DMI was to find out the sub of the game shape from your players, who don't get training.

My player LudmiƂ Szajko has proficient GS. No pops and no downgrades in skills.

DMI: 34800, Weekly salary: $ 4 529.

My other players with proficient GS seem to be close to their adjusted salary though.
