For example, I've been training my 2 18yo centers in ID. I was thinking of training up my 2 18yo PG's up in passing for a while.
What would give my team a better "investment"? Should I stick with the ID for C, or will I be better off training the passing for PG?

Its wearing on my mind...

this depends again what kind off strategy you prefer long term or short term

i am training for very long term... with any eye on keeping my players. if you plan on planning for the long term, i would decide to train a few players and stick to them for a while. You shouldnt just train 1 player.

I am training 6, but this costs me some performance levels cause i play my trainees most games 48 minutes a game.

If you are in a low league just train centers and train not just ID, but also IS and RB would make your team alot stronger. I believe that every few weeks change between guards and forward training isnt the way to go...

I do believe this is the way to go, but i am sure that if you ask 20 different people you will get most likely 20 different answers.

I am not an oracle not a die hard basketball fan, but I am doing well in this game. If you want any help with your team send me an email and I will do all I can...

I train my guards in Jump Shot- it really pays off in games as when your players start hitting threes you can pull away very quickly and then even give your scrubs some playing time.

Each position needs a minimum of three different skills to be somewhat effective. Training Jump Shot for eternity may help you with hitting threes against computer-operated teams, but it's not going to be very useful in the long run.
