Really....wow. talk about unlucky.

He has two players on his team that have a higher salary than my TOTAL combined roster!!!!!!

Well chalk this one up for a loss. Thanks randomness.

At least you can TIE the game and get some enthusiasm from it :)

Well, let's me share my first cup experience. I was paired with a team that was way out of my league so (like you) I chalked it up as a loss. So I treated it like a SC game, rested my starters, put in my bench, set enthusiasm to "take it easy". Guess what?? He was thinking the same. He rested his best players and also set enthusiasm to "take it easy". Maybe the result would have been the same even if I had put in my starters and set it "crunch time" but sometime I wondered what would had happened. :)

I got to play the #1 ranked team in the world, in the first round.

I think I win for unlucky :P

Yes, I think you win that title. :) But my point was that don't assume a loss yet, your opponent might lower his guard and you might be lucky enough to steal one.

I had one experience like yours, I was outclassed too, except the guy didn't play his starters, and I played mine.

I won by 4.

I agree...it should have a more tiered structure rather than just random. At least for the first few rounds anyway you should be playing the lower tiered teams first.

I had to play a fellow division III team (not as unlucky as you guys) but the guy was obviously inactive and played his full strength side(this will put his starters to over 120+ min a week). Now I was put in a dillemma...do I put on my best side to match him and kill my game shape for the next few weeks and screwing up my league games as well??

I think not. Its just not worth it so I ended up just tanking the game and playing a second tier team.

Very valid point....I think I am going to just play my second string players and TIE. Save my players for the league games.....Im so competitive though that it makes it extremely hard to just play TIE and take a loss. But sometimes it needs to be done
