The way a mouse slides around on a board, it's possible I could've clicked any part of the screen. All I know is I was typing on the forum and the web browser is redirected to a site called MDLINX. I hope that's helpful.
Firefox 3.0.14 Win XP and a silly mouse that needs more friction.

Now it happens again. I log in, look at the news page, turn my head for a moment and I'm redirected. Let me clear cookies and try other things to help it.
I looked at my browsing history and it said
commerce.com
ad2.adserver.com
redirect
buzzerbeater.com
Some advertiser is being malicious.

Another possibility is that your computer is infected by some sort of spyware. I recommend running SpyBot and/or AdAware to check.

I'm testing a guess that it involves replying on the forums. The problem seems to occur then. I can't be sure until some other people post that they are redirected when replying to forum posts. It may be something on my computer.

I ran spyware cleaning software and antivirus , now let's see if the problem repeats.

So this means it should be the same problem on both forum and not forum pages. Before my spyware scans the only time i notice the problem is at login or replying. Today after spyware scan, the forum reply is not producing the problem.

Do you have any ad that looks like a google search? This box reloaded several times and looked of such poor quality that I was suspicious. That would be from malware and not from the people that run your ads, I believe.

Well I tried to respond to an email and was redirected to another page. I also picked up a Scanner (Norton actually works sometimes) called n.exn when I tried to backspace to my original page

I cleaned cookies, found one hit on antivirus but I must say, after clean usage yesterday, the problem repeats today.
I see the fake google ad on top and today I got a red screen in google chrome. It said "warning this site can harm your computer" and blocked www.watermelonfun.cn - Firefox says the same thing "Reported attack site" .
I will run antivirus again today . there is something odd.

The last time I saw this kind of problem was when Korea Herald was reported as attack, but I found out it's not the Herald, but rather their advertiser was blocked.

Antivirus does not necessarily clean (all) spyware.

You have to run Spybot and/or AdAware. Additionally, you might want to go to msconfig, and check whether there are any unwanted processes that are loading at at startup. How to do this:

1. Go to Run,
2. Run "msconfig"
3. In the Services tab, choose Hide all Microsoft Services
4. Google the remaining items to see whether any of them is malicious
5. Uncheck malicious items
6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 in the Startup tab.

If malicious items keep returning to Services/Startup after reboot, try repeating this procedure in Safe Mode.

(apparently, I miss working as a HelpDesk Consultant...)

The proper solution is to set orders and avoid BB for a week to see if the problem exists elsewhere. I'm abandoning my team. There's no point in exposing my computer to the risk.

Web browers detect risks on the fly now days.
AVG And Avast scan for viruses.
There is online anti virus check for free
There is spyware immunization
This computer has been in the shop during the last 12 months and had windows reinstalled.

I haven't seen these attack sites anywhere but on BB. I hope you could give the BBs time to check with their advertising people.
If I want a problem between chair and keyboard I can create it myself thanks.
