Hi Exos,

Thx for answering the unanswerable question :)
Yes, you are right, i was refering Vilausis, his shooting % is 37.8%, which is not that bad, but my C/PF have over 60% shooting %...
And i checked again the games he played since he joined in the beginning of the season. I found that after he blew out in too BIG games, then he started to take more shoots...
2 BIG games:
11/3/2009 39 14-25 6-10 1-2 2 7 5 1 0 1 1 35 12.5
10/31/2009 48 13-26 5-7 3-6 1 5 5 4 2 0 3 34 11.5

4 BAD games
11/17/2009 46 9-28 2-6 3-3 1 5 9 0 1 0 0 23 11.5
11/14/2009 48 6-24 3-8 2-2 1 2 7 0 3 0 1 17 10.5
11/10/2009 34 4-15 1-2 0-0 2 4 4 0 1 0 1 9 10.5
11/7/2009 46 6-18 0-0 5-7 0 6 3 3 1 0 0 17 10.0

is the game engine also considers CONFINDENCE??? That sounds weird...

Actually i want a pure PG, who sees passing is the 1st priority, takes 10 shoots and 7-8 assist per game.
Vilausis is more like a PG/SG. His JS/JR is 11/10, while PS/HR/DR =12/12/10

So how can i find the prefect PG?

Would the fact that the other team was playing a 2-3 have an effect on how many shots Vilausis took?

Seems to me, they were practically daring him to shoot.

Yes, that's a good assumption of how the engine runs, but in RL, Rondo(bad shooting guard) prefers passing (or driving) even if he's left WIDE OPEN, right?
And every team defense me on 2-3...but why sometimes he shot more and sometimes less?

i think if he isn't wide open, or the shot is to bad he won't try it, but also it isn't so easy to give the hard guarded big guys better oppurtunitys so if he believe his chanches are higher he would take his own shot.

Do you think that if a PG with skills JS/JR/PS 7/7/16, will perform better than my current PG (JS/JR/PS 11/10/12) in this stituation? As he would pass more and doesnt dare to shoot that much...

for inside tactics i would say yes, but your current one isn't bad either maybe you should use the 2-3 Zones you are facing zometimes to use his offensiv abilities.

Unanswerable was maybe a bit harsh. Maybe

I am asking myself the same question. How can you keep your Guards from taking so many shots when playing Inside tactics? As you listed his big and bad games I had a second look into it.
So in his good games your Offensive Flow was better than the opponent's Perimeter Defense. It could be that the opponents had better guards when Vilausis played bad and therefore he was maybe forced to take so many shots. Further we do not know where exactly he took the shots, but in the good games his successful shots were mainly 3p. I don't know, maybe he ought to have some Inside Shot skills as well to function properly in Inside tactics.

Darn, my whole speech does not even answer one question while creating new ones
I leave it with that for the moment.

Cheers, Exos

p.s. One last thing. Can you convey the Handling skills of Vilausis?

You could set your team to Run and gun on offence and play man on man D which will make your team drive and shoot more.

He is your best backcourt go-to guy by far. So he takes a lot of shots because it is usually best shot your team was able to get in 24 seconds limit. That's it.

(notice that getting the ball to your big men under the basket is no way near that easy as in the old engine; logically the one who tries to do that the most is your starting PG, if he fails to do so, he takes the shot - either because shotclock violation issue or because SG and SF can't get an open look too)

What about Driving?
A player with a high driving skill will take more shots, although he should also have a higher % (but that depends on many factors, of course).

Also, you may consider trying Low Post instead of Look Inside, to give him more time to find your big men under the basket. More in general, you may want to switch to a low pace tactic, especially if your players have better handling than passing.
