This seems to be the prevailing advice this draft season, but looking at his league, 8 teams have not logged in this month. I don't think it's a foregone conclusion that all the players drafting ahead of him will have already looked at the players he's considering.
Whether to gamble on an unknown potential over a known 3-ball potential is a judgment call, but making the decision based on the fact that if the guy's still on the board he's probably bad doesn't seem like the right call here.
